I slowly went from one end of The Wall to the other, videotaping all the way. I wanted those who have loved ones named on The Wall to know whether "their" panels were damaged. I also wanted the full extent of the damage to be documented.
This is Part 1, showing the damage to the east side of The Wall. It will take me several more hours to get the second video up.
Stay tuned...
Vietnam Memorial Wall (DC) Defaced Sept 7-8, 2007: Part 1
Thanks for the ping.
BUMP! for GOE III, Smooth.
I’m sure no sane person can answer why on this, there is just no sane answer.
Ping.
Thanks for the video.
The desecretion to the Lone Sailor at the Navy Memorial is what brought me to DC for GOE I. My father, father-in-law, hubby and I are all Plank Holders in the Navy Memorial. I’ll be back in DC on Wednesday for GOE III.
Good point!
Yes...it is sick. I don’t get things pulled very often, so I was surprised to see this one pulled...my apologies to anyone that might have offended. I have posted that picture many times before, but someone must have complained about it.
It IS an inflammatory picture. Very much so. And very offensive. But I did have a point in posting it, and did not intend to hijack the thread.
For those who didn’t see it, it was a picture of a protester crapping on a burning American flag. I think it was in Oregon or Washington. I don’t particularly like posting it, but I think in the context of this discussion, it illustrates these people we are fighting against in our own country.
I will bow to the wishes of the Admin Moderator on this one...
I wish with all my heart I could be down there with you folks. I am on call and unable to make the journey, but I have two of my friends from this bluest of blue states, Massachusetts, who are making the trip down.
We DO have some people who care up here, scum like Kerry, Kennedy, Frank and Meehan notwithstanding.
Thank you for watching over and reporting this. That memorial has such and emotional impact and is so perfect and appropriate a tribute to our Viet Nam veterans, it is heartbreaking to see the damage.
It almost appears that some kind of machine was throwing out oil since it is splatters. Otherwise wouldn’t it have been in steaks if someone was just pouring it out?
Uh! Did you click on the link? It took me to a U-Tube video of the damage.
I am alway curious when something is pulled, so now I know what it was.
Did you preface the picture with this is another example of the kind of crap these degenerates do? If not maybe whoever hit the abuse button thought you were a disrupter and that is what your sentiments were.
Can’t wait to see you this weekend. Can you make it to Walter Reed on Friday night too?
I posted the picture with a description of why I find it so particularly offensive, and described the POW’s in Hanoi who made a flag out of pieces of discarded cloth, kept it hidden from their captors and brought it out each day in secret to say the Pledge of Allegiance in front of it. They would certainly have been beaten nearly to death if it had been found. Then these liberal moonbats BURN a flag and CRAP on it...with children looking on, laughing. I served under that flag, and my dad was buried under it. People who do that would have no problem at all spraying acid or oil on a war memorial.
Anyway, that was the context in which I posted it.
GOE and VETERAN PING! For those who are in or going to DC for the events this week...if you see anyone defacing the memorials -- SEIZE THE DAY!
Yep!
Do these Park Service employees have any geological or chemical training at all?
Probably not.
I have been using this stuff to remove oil based drilling mud from rock cuttings for years, now. If you think about it, that rock is drilled 10K+ ft down at over 4000 psi static pressure. If they apply this with a scrub brush, wait a couple of minutes and rinse until the rinse water is clear, it should do the job. Citriblast
FWIW, I do not sell this product and I am not connected with it in any way except as a satisfied user thereof, who has examined thousands of drill cuttings samples which have been cleaned with it.
I believe the above to be the Capital Hill steps (may understanding it occurred last January).
Probably by freaks like this:
