Fox News moderators in the debate accused Paul of taking "Marching orders from Al Qaeda." Arguably the worst moderating I have seen, as Paul ends up having to debate the moderators?!?
During this debate season, Fox News decided to add "cell phone voting" to the post-debate analysis. After the first debate, Ron Paul won the cell phone vote, much to the displeasure of the Fox News pundits (youtube video from that debate here.)
The second Fox News debate was no different. Pundits Hannity and Colmes assure the audience that Ron Paul is winning the poll simply because people are redialing. What is the point of having a poll if people are able to abuse it? Ron Paul supporters, a bit tired of being beaten down by the media, put together this video to debunk the Hannity and Colmes "redialing theory."
I am curious to know if Fox News viewers would like to see each candidate treated fairly, or if they prefer that the newscasters go as far as lying to make some candidates look worse than others.
The biggest threat to your privacy is the government. We must drastically limit the ability of government to collect and store data regarding citizens personal matters.
We must stop the move toward a national ID card system. All states are preparing to issue new drivers licenses embedded with standard identifier data a national ID. A national ID with new tracking technologies means were heading into an Orwellian world of no privacy. I voted against the Real ID Act in March of 2005.
To date, the privacy focus has been on identity theft. It was Congress that created this danger by mandating use of the standard identifier (currently your SSN) in the private sector. For example, banks use SSNs as customer account identifiers because the government requires it.
We must also protect medical privacy. Right now, youre vulnerable. Under so-called medical privacy protection rules, insurance companies and other entities have access to your personal medical information.
Financial privacy? Right now depositing $10,000 or more in cash in your local bank account will generate a federally-mandated report to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network at the United States Department of the Treasury.
And then theres the so-called Patriot Act. As originally proposed, it:
* Expanded the federal government's ability to use wiretaps without judicial oversight;
* Allowed nationwide search warrants non-specific to any given location, nor subject to any local judicial oversight;
* Made it far easier for the government to monitor private internet usage;
* Authorized sneak and peek warrants enabling federal authorities to search a persons home, office, or personal property without that persons knowledge; and
* Required libraries and bookstores to turn over records of books read by their patrons.
I have fought this fight for many years. I sponsored a bill to overturn the Patriot Act and have won some victories, but today the threat to your liberty and privacy is very real. We need leadership at the top that will prevent Washington from centralizing power and private data about our lives.
Now I ask what is not Conservative about any of this Ron Paul stands for? I support what was stated as his polices in my last three post. I seen no good reason as a Conservative not to.

The 14th Congressional District of Texas stretches from the Gulf Coast south of Houston almost to Corpus Christi; north through Victoria and west close to San Antonio; extending north to Hays county near Austin. From Hays county, the District stretches east to Fayette and Colorado counties, south through Wharton county, and back to the Gulf through the lower half of Brazoria county. In all, the district encompasses more than 22,000 square miles.
I can only reply...DOH!
what can I say. flay away if it suits ya. You think Ron Paul’s good for the Republican party right here?
right here in the middle of this war. is he doing a good job? or is he a lousy nevermind?
or is he a lousy nevermind?
I have no idea what a "lousy nevermind" is so I can't comment.
you don’t have much of an opinion. correction nazi. tut tut.
I’ll burn a few keystrokes simply to say that Ron Paul has about as much of a chance to be POTUS as I do.
Exactly.
While I don't care for Ron Paul, Fox News and any other NYC MSM outlets are nothing but Madison Avenue limousine liberals...
I won't vote for Ruby Julie-Annie in the general election, they can have their deserved defeat. I don't have to help them.
I don't like the illegals, the perverts, the dopers, the gun grabbers or the baby killers. I am voting on the issues.

SAIS is one of the most prestigious American schools for international studies. The website describes the school as follows:
The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, D.C., is a leading graduate school of international affairs, educating students for professional careers in government, business, journalism, international law and non-profit organizations. Founded in 1943 by Paul Nitze and Christian Herter, SAIS has been a division of The Johns Hopkins University since 1950.
In my opinion, Ron Paul is like an internet hoax, it stays alive the more you pass it along. Paul’s newest tactic is the signs and slogans ‘Google Ron Paul’.. Every time we have a 800 post debate thread with Paul supporters only puts Ron Paul higher in Google analytics.
We know that the Paul supporters won’t be swayed, and they know we won’t be swayed. We are repeating the same things over and over.. and all this is doing is giving this third tier candidate far more attention than he deserves.
Why not crickets whenever Paul pops up here? Look what happened to all the pro-Rudy threads, they died out because all they were fed was the sound of crickets.
Why not just stop feeding the fire? Let it burn out.
That’s just my thought... I’m sure others have differing opinions.

Why not just stop feeding the fire? Let it burn out.
You make a good point.
But the Paul threads are so much fun.
I don't have many entertainment options where I live. Paul threads are great entertainment and for such a reasonable price.
But if we decide as a group to do the crickets chirping stance, I'll unite with the rest of you.
