Fox News moderators in the debate accused Paul of taking "Marching orders from Al Qaeda." Arguably the worst moderating I have seen, as Paul ends up having to debate the moderators?!?
During this debate season, Fox News decided to add "cell phone voting" to the post-debate analysis. After the first debate, Ron Paul won the cell phone vote, much to the displeasure of the Fox News pundits (youtube video from that debate here.)
The second Fox News debate was no different. Pundits Hannity and Colmes assure the audience that Ron Paul is winning the poll simply because people are redialing. What is the point of having a poll if people are able to abuse it? Ron Paul supporters, a bit tired of being beaten down by the media, put together this video to debunk the Hannity and Colmes "redialing theory."
I am curious to know if Fox News viewers would like to see each candidate treated fairly, or if they prefer that the newscasters go as far as lying to make some candidates look worse than others.
Well duh, he's 72 years old. But Ron Paul ain't going to lose his house seat in a primary challenge, you can take that to the bank as well.
“But heck that’s just Peggy Noonan.”
Just when did Peggy lose her mind?
“Faux”
Not only do Paul supporters get their marching orders from MoveOn, they steal cutesy 3rd grade “play on words” trash from them as well.
They would side with Satan if he marketed Hell properly.
My Jessie Jackson supporting, Kerry voting truther co-worker has a similar picture of him and Reagan, complete with autograph line. Hell, I have an autographed picture of me and Muhammad Ali. Guess that means I support the Nation of Islam. /s
You use the same old tactics as liberals showing Saddam shaking hands with Rumsfeld, like that means anything. You guys have consumed the kool-aid.
Do you guys not see what you are turning into or do you just not care?
Don't get my marching orders from anyone, least of all a television station that slants the news one way or the other. I've been a free market non interventionist conservative since I was a child. As for Faux what should I call it? Fox (Rudy Giuliani's campaign HQ) News suit you better instead?
And the rabid Ron Paul haters do what exactly?
"paulestinians"
"paulbearers"
I know I'm probably missing some other of their stunningly mediocre puns, but you should be able to see my point.
I wish I could remember this thread/post to "haunt" you in the future when history will judge the surrender lobby, which you are part of, very harshly.
Much like Nazi sympathizers are ostracized today.
She must have right? Not to be parroting the same lines from Sean Hannity and actually providing a 'fair and balanced' position is downright unconservative. Probably 'anti-American' too..
Or since she worked with Reagan and wrote speeches for Bush I, she may have a better grasp on conservative thought than the youngsters that have invaded the party in the last 15 years.
You decide
Hmmm. It has seemed to me like Hannity is in Thomspon’s court. The only thing I can tell for sure about Hannity, though, is that he’s for Anybody-But-McCain, and I’m with him there.
If he DOES believe “the worst Republican would be better than the best Dem, though,” given the choices before us, I’d have to agree with him. I’d say McCain is the worst Republican (this side of Ron Paul), and he’d be infinitely preferable to the best Dem, who I guess would probably be Joe Lieberman - not that there’s all that much to choose from between them.
Hank
I wish my candidates had won the poll. However, the truth is that Paul won. Denying it or mocking him for it is not going to change it.
IMHO, the reason FOX attacked him, is that they want to push their man Rudy, the same one who stated that illegal aliens should not be deported and that in fact they are not criminals. Rudy may talk one way on WOT, but his views make him incompetent to handle it.
There is a video online that shows the debate from the ‘cheap seats’. The video shows a shot of a monitor in the arena off to the side. At one point there is booing that sounded like it was directed at Rep. Paul. But also at that point, the screen in the arena splits to show Giuliani’s response to Rep. Paul. He was the one smirking and even laughed.
I'll take Zell Miller over Arnold Schwarzenegger (and a few dozen others) any day.
I think people voting for Paul aren’t really for Paul: they are just totally disillusioned with GWB, the RNC, etc.
Hes not Rudy for one thing.
YEP
Hannity is practically wide open about it, the way he fawns over him. I have a suspicion O’ Reilley is a fan, too, but he’s harder to read. Plus, He boosts McCain and Romney too.
‘And the rabid Ron Paul haters do what exactly?
“paulestinians”
“paulbearers”’
Yes they do. What’s sad is they do it while criticizing you. If you check my posting history you will see that I have never done that or anything like it. I won’t even do it with Democrats. I just don’t like it.
My problem is not with the man but with his followers. I do not like the tactics employed one bit. It’s as DU as you can get. Now, we have the old standard LIBERAL verbage showing up here, coincidentally, I am supposed to believe. Don’t support = hate, Goof on = hate, etc.
I don’t agree with Dr. Paul. I’m sorry, I just don’t. That said, I have no problem with you supporting whomever you wish. I do think you do not help your cause by essentially posting the same stuff one would see at DU or Kos.
Sorry if I offended, I just don’t like what I’m seeing with respect to Paul supporters. You guys are not the only ones but that is not the topic of this thread.
Right on, I noticed that too, although it didn’t sink in until about the third time I saw it. Very subtle.
