(Excerpt) Plans to allow British scientists to create human-animal embryos are expected to be approved tomorrow by the government's fertility regulator. The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority published its long-awaited public consultation on the controversial research yesterday, revealing that a majority of people were "at ease" with scientists creating the hybrid embryos.
Researchers want to create hybrid embryos by merging human cells with animal eggs, in the hope they will be able to extract valuable embryonic stem cells from them. The cells form the basic building blocks of the body and are expected to pave the way for revolutionary therapies for diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and even spinal cord injuries

“scientists creating the hybrid embryos” should be required to use only human eggs or sperm from themselves or their family members.......
6 The LORD said, "Behold, they are one people, and they all have (A)the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them.
I like that.
This will lead more or less to the same place this other thread suggests:

Undocumented humans.
Remember the movie “The Fly” ???????
In my limited understanding, it is the adult stem cells (drawn from cord blood for example) where all the success has been. Why follow a path that has been so unsuccessful.
This as been bugging me all weekend. This has gt to be one of the sickest things we have ever witnessed.
I just wonder how far God will let this go.
My limited understanding is in accord. Frankly, I’m alarmed to see this development and see nothing but evil coming from it.
Though you might be interested in this.

I wonder if these “scientists” will be wearing black robes and pentagram because this is pure witchery.
Just a more sophisticated attempt at the old Soviet “ape-man” experiments. Probably get further, as there won’t really be a need to have human females carry the ape embryos; surprisingly, there weren’t that many volunteers when the Russkies attempted it?!?
Frightening!
Look for corporations in other countries to follow suit.

I believe this was the original reason for objecting to embryo stem cell research....animal hosts. I think this objection goes quite a way back.
I wonder how many people would eat those mammals.....
Good question. I think it's because they're not really interested in actual, therapeutic "cures," certainly not in the short run. They only use "therapeutic research" as the funding bait. You can do nearly anything if you say you're going to "cure Alzheimers." I would imagine some people would OK putting chunks of toddler in a Hamilton blender if they thought they could get cells that would "cure Altzheimers."
The real reason, IMHO, is to generate interesting new life forms for the breeding of Untermenschen and Übermenschen: subhumans and superhumans.
Untimately, the goal would be to put future human evolution in the hands of a tiny elite of world technicians.
I intend to do more reading on Transhumanism, the animating philosophy of these manipulations of the sources and structures of human life.
I notice they make reference to “ethicists.” They are there to make it appear that someone cares about “ethics,” and to promote the pretense that the ethical questions are “complex.”
Just the slow, continual bloodletting of all human decency from the town square. How many souls will be swept up and lost to the enticement of "progress" at the expense of our growing alienation from God? The great irony of trying to eliminate human misery, only to create a tidal wave more! At the end of the day, mankind has become less than human - a tragedy that can't be quantified.
