And if it's as successful as Embryonic stem cell research
(so far)...could be funded by display of the work-product at
some carnival freakshow.
Yes, I'm being a bit flippant.
Research on Embryonic stem cells and these hybrids may yet
yield cures for all sorts of human maladies.
But I'll still be (at the least) a bit bothered by the freak-show
(Frankenstein) aspect of the work.
Feel free to call me "old school".

I notice they make reference to “ethicists.” They are there to make it appear that someone cares about “ethics,” and to promote the pretense that the ethical questions are “complex.”
