I read the transcript of the Larry Graig interview with the Minnesota police.
I don't like what I'm hearing from other conservatives. The liberals see a cheap Senate seat and you want to give it to them because a guy moved two fingers under the stall wall in an airport bathroom.
If they had the guy on tape asking for sex, paying for sex, or photographed in the act, or any other physical proof, then I would say that looks very very bad and he should go.
But that is not the case.
This is very lame, and those of you who have never had a disagreement with a law enforecement officer should hope that a cop never accuses you of something. Because by your own action, your professional career, and or political career, should be forit, merely on the word of the officer with no physical proof or corroborating evidence.
Those of you who pass judgement, on Larry Craig, merely on the heresay and liberal spin that has been run in the press, should be ashamed.
Oh gee, Im sorry - me
Apology accepted. - you, ignoring the rest of my post
I knew you weren’t series all along. You almost stuned me. I’m done with you.
He pled guilty.
In my book that means he was guilty.
I can't think of anything more disgusting than someone who would solicit sex from strangers in a public toilet.
Christ did not plead guilty, he was found to be guilty.
Socrates WAS guilty, he did not try to escape punishment because, as a democrat, he believed that the people had a right to enact and enforce laws he didn't agree with.
The cop said he saw Craig’s hands through the crack not his eyes...
If that crime is resisting a trumped-up arrest it does not deserve a lynching.
If Larry Flynt or whomever are behind this, I say let's cut out the tumors, NOW. I don't ever want to have to worry about Gay October Surprises.
William Jefferson may well be guilty but he has not been “proven” anything yet. His case has not been adjudicated. As for Idaho governor, Butch Otter, he’s supposedly a rock solid conservative, why should we worry that he would put another open border person in there?
The reason Craig should resign is because from now until he leaves we will be hearing about this. Believe me I know, we had Foley down here in Florida. But we have an advantage we did not have in the Foley situation. We have more than a year until the next election. Plenty of time to get someone in there who can win. Plenty of time to let the taint of this situation die down. The longer Larry Craig holds out, the harder it will be for the next candidate and any presidential candidate. The democrats are counting on the republicans to be the stupid party again. They will get all the miles they can out of this situation if we let them.
There are smart ways to handle situations and there are stupid ways to handle situations. Craig has certainly shown us the stupid way, but maybe we can try the smart way next.
Maybe Craig thought it was a PRIVATE BATHHOUSE.
That's because you say stuff that's not accurate...not worth responding to.
What IS IT with American public toilets anyways that have this huge open space between stalls under the dividers, some up very high, maybe even to one foot high, and you can see and hear the feet of the other person doing their business, and facilitates such nonsense as the gay "tap code"?
Not to mention these huge cracks in the stall door, sometimes as wide as two inches, where you can look in on someone and they vice-versa. Ever heard of knocking to see if it is being used.
In Japan, toilet stalls are constructed with dividers 100% clear down to the floor, and in many cases right up to the ceiling, completely enclosed, with complete privacy. The stall doors and jambs also have no gaps between them, so you cannot see in side either.
The only way a rope sucker is going to get the specific attention to the gay in the next stall is going to be through calling out, which none of those perverts will do for fear of an arrest, or worse yet for them, the prompty delivery of a knuckle sandwich to them by a normal person.
Make toilet stalls even more narrow so only one person can get inside. (Americans will have to lose a lot of weight to be comfortable).
I think all of this to some extent may well put a stop to George Michael-type "cruising" in toilets, on the other hand, watch the American heroin addicts enjoy all that new found "privacy".
Of course the drawback to Japanese restrooms is that, for the urinals at least, often many of them are in clear view from the street!!
I know what he pleaded..I just saying what lawyers have said on TV today that “Theres not a Judge or jury that would convict him on this evidence.”
He pled guilty to disorderly conduct, not lewdness.
CNN would have you think otherwise...and they're convincing a LOT of gullible conservatives.
If you have seen a post calling for Craig to be killed, please cite it. If not, stop being so melodramatic.
Well it was a nice conversation, everybody. I am going to CRUISE on out of here now...
Don’t you understand that Republicans Always resign.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Yep. This non story will continue until the Hitlary / Chinese money story disappears.
Unfortunately most of the Conservatives fell right in line with the MSM / Hitlary machine on this .
Larry Craig is one of the best Conservative Senators we have and he deserves better than being sold out by a bunch of pathetic RINO’s ....
Oh, brother...another literalist. Did you not get the point, little one?
Why do you keep saying it’s resisting arrest? Where do you see resisting arrest as a charge in any of the court documents? Is this just some anti-police fetish you have or do you have knowledge of some extra complaint not listed in the court documents that will blow the whole case out of the water?
Get caught
OR
Be innocent and plead guilty to a lesser related charge.
Either way, he’s toast. I’m not glad to see a conservative Senator go (his shamnesty stance takes some of the sting out of it) I find the timing suspicious and I think the cop involved might be embellishing his story, but I don’t think the damage is survivable, and he’s got to go.
Did he plead guilty to solicitation , as you infer ?
