We've received many requests from freepers requesting that other freepers not post to them. There are several problems with this.

1. It's impossible for us to enforce.
2. We don't have the time to enforce these requests.
3. We don't have the software to keep track of these requests.
4. Thick skin helps.
5. Ignore the poster, if you don't reply, they won't reply.

Free Republic does not need a bozo filter, bozo filters are for wimps.

Final note: Trolls, troublemakers, disruptors, forum pests, malcontents, RINOs, liberals, stalkers, et al, would continue posting to (harassing) someone after being asked to stop. Conservative FReepers would not.

well, let's see....if you respectfully disagree, you are indicating that FR DOES need a bozo filter....

but then you say, 'at the risk of being labeled a bozo...',

which would imply that if FR did, indeed, HAVE a bozo filter, your post might not have made it through at all....and I never would have seen your post and I wouldn't have been able to post a snotty answer back.

I don't want to shut anyone up....I'd just like it to be easier for me to decide to not listen. Very gentle. Very democratic. Very libertarian...people can have the widest possible latitutde to shoot off thier mouths...and increasingly be talking to the wind if they are so mindless that others -- acting independently -- are chosing to turn them off.
