HALL OF FAME #19 THE WEEKEND THREAD T.G.I.F. at the Finest |
Every Thursday at the Finest |
I've mentioned in the past that we've been attending the stock car races throughout the summer at the Altamont Raceway Park.
Welllll, early on I met an employee over there who notice my Navy related hat. He told me he signed up and will be leaving for Boot Camp in Sept.
Talked with him again last night. It was his last day of employment at the race track. He leave for Great Lakes mid-Sept.
Meet Blaine - a future Navy man. I extended on behalf of FR how proud we are of him of his choice to serve our country.
GeeBee, I Saw a Lot of Lightning Bugs Tonight, just a Wondrous Sight! I'm Glad you Liked the Vid of the Lightning Bugs I Recently Posted.
Diver Dave, God Bless the Dear Young Man Named Blaine! I'm about to Say my Bedtime Prayers, and Blaine will be in them. May our Lord's Hand be Upon him in a Mighty Way.
Goodnight to my Finest FRiends.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Outstanding, Meg!
This is an amazing pic, Luv! WOW~~~
Some pictures like that one with the prayer gives me chills!!
thanks, Deb!
Ya know, sometimes I search and find nothing and then I might find a couple of things I like. I have a lot of dry runs. When I get started ‘shopping’ as you say, I do it too long and wear myself out! Have you done that? Think its because I am new at it and it takes more time for me~~~~

READ: 1 Corinthians 9:19-23
I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. 1 Corinthians 9:22
What do teenagers mean when they say theyre chillaxin? (Theyre chilling and relaxing.) What if they ask for some cheddar? (Thats cash.) If a teen likes someones new clothes, he might just say, money, meaning cool. Teenagers have their own lingo that some of us might not understand, and it seems to be always changing.
Believers in Jesus have their own lingo as well. We use common jargon that nonbelievers may not comprehend. For instance, we use the words grace, saved, and repentance. These are all good words, but as were sharing our faith, it might be more helpful to say, Gods gift of unearned forgiveness instead of grace. Or rescued from death and given eternal life for saved. We could say, to turn away from wrongs for repentance.
The apostle Paul was willing to be flexible in his ministry in order to reach as many as possible with the gospel of Christ (1 Cor. 9:19-23). That might have even included the words he used as he explained the good news of Jesus death and resurrection.
Explaining our faith in easy-to-understand terms may help someone to grasp the meaning of being born againtransformed by Jesus love and forgiveness.

Look under patriotic or by service images..put vintage,or WW1 or 2 in front of patriotic posters or graphics..I have spent all night just doing searches..As I am a night owl..it’s easy to do.
I get a lot of mine from the DOD site of recent pictures.
Thank you, sweet Meg! Nice of you to share......I have met the BEST people in the world on “the finest”. I am serious..
This morning it is still 73 out there..I did get some early morning trimming done this weekend..It’s still gets into the 90s but doen’t seem so hot. We will be hot through September here..I don’t mind as I love that we have real winter for three months as a rule..although we may get a December freeze. Of course there was a record breaking April snowfall last year!LOL
