The Talk Shows
Sunday, August 26th, 2007
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Sens. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and Jack Reed, D-R.I.; former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sen. John Warner, R-Va.; cyclist Lance Armstrong.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Former Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., and his wife, Elizabeth.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Sens. Jim Webb, D-Va., and John Cornyn, R-Texas; former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Former Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi; New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson; Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan.; Lt. Gen. Raymond Odierno, the No. 2 U.S. military commander in Iraq; former Sen. Max Cleland, D-Ga.
Lots of those are probably Vietnam draftees and the Kerry types (who went, served, and then turned their backs on this country).
Yes, Democrat Baird made that statement; he was very anti-war, went to Iraq and came back a changed man.
I’m liking Wallace less and less. Mitch was quite good and kept telling Wallace the real story that the media seems to want to ignore is Levin coming back and saying the surge is working. Mitch understands the meaning of the word surge.
Reid is changing his story saying that the democrats have never called for a precipitous withdrawal and that Warner is finally getting on board the democrat plan by calling for a troop withdrawal. Wallace doesn’t seem to understand the meaning of the word surge.
With the media’s help, the dems will try to turn this victory into Iraq as their victory.
###### AP's WireMisfire Reports -> Bogus Ammo Shortage Story and xerox-reported by the always unchecked media. As always, New-Media Blogger exposes the lie by the MSM.
###### AP tells al Qaeda: -> Hang in there.
###### Rest in Peace - GreenStone Media! -> Gloria Steinem and Jane Fonda's women-run radio network, that is. Their tepid liberalism didn't appeal to women. Meanwhile Laura Ingraham's audience in excess of 5 million, and ranks among the top-10 most influential radio hosts.
###### Bush Derangement Syndrome & Rice Derangement Syndrome -> @ NYTimes. NYTimes altered the Wikipedia entry on President Bush, adding the word jerk 12 times. And in the entry for Condoleezza Rice, the secretary of state, the word pianist was changed to penis".
###### Fair & Balanced Crap enters "24" -> Janeane Garofalo, an outspoken liberal, is set to co-star on the conservative-leaning real-time drama "24".
###### Media companies lobbying for tax break -> for themselves.
###### Chutzpah Watch: Time magazine relies on Jamie Gorelick to challenge Giuliani's Record on Terrorism.
###### No Questioning Authority! -> Scent of a Scandal at NYTimes.
###### ABC is angry! -> How Dare They?. Huh? Because, We Can.

Wow! You’ve been busy! Must be nice to be wined and dined by vendors like that.
I might be going to THE Redmond end of September. They’re looking for SMEs on Vista. Wish me luck!
Lesson is alway fight, always kick ass, never give in or up.
Timmy insists there must be a significant draw down of military in Iraq by next year.
((((((
Wouldn’t it be great if guests could play video of Timmy demanding more troops when “not enough forces” was the mantra of the Left before last November.
Timmy: if the President insists on sticking with the status quo, will THAT cause a rebellion among Republican Senators? (he is so hoping)
The Associated Press is the most dangerous news organization in America.
The New York Times may be slightly more vitriolic (although not by much) but the AP has the monopoly on the wire service, particularly on U.S. news. About the only other option is al-Reuters.
I wish there was a UPI or an INS (I know the UPI still exists but it’s so tiny it’s not even notable anymore).
:-)
Why am I crying after looking at that video of Miss South Carolina?
Warner attempts to convince us that being a United States Senator is a really, really tough job, requiring you to go full bore 24/7. Amazing that so many of them last so long.
“A hard-hitting analysis on Iraq... from three reporters who’ve been there...”
Maybe it’s just me, but it seems that everyone who’s ever been over to Iraq says it’s much better than it’s being portrayed... EXCEPT FOR THE REPORTERS.
Nah, there’s no media conspiracy. I should just put my tinfoil hat back on.
Huckabee has raised more money in the past three weeks following his popular place in Ames IA than he did the past three months.
We all knew the DBM would have to launch a counter attack after the positive results from the surge became apparent.
Obviously sunning themselves somewhere probably at tax payers cost or a freebie that no doubt the giver has alterior motives.
Because it was funded by all the liberal networks & no unbiased ombudsman to watch over.
Yes indeed. They work on a number of fronts. It's not REALLY working since fatalities are up. It's not worth it because the government is feckless. We are so worried about our military being overstretched (yeh, sure you are). The Iraqis are bad people and we shouldn't really care about them, and so on and so forth.
LOL
Does Warner believe that he is Napoleon?
