Roves gift basket for the Seattle Times
By Michelle Malkin August 20, 2007 02:09 PM
Remember the fair, objective journalists at the Seattle Times who
cheered Karl Roves resignation? Via the
Media Blog and
HA Headlines, heres news in
Howard Kurtzs WaPo column of Roves farewell gift:
In an embarrassment to the industry, some staffers at a Seattle Times news meeting cheered when Roves resignation was announced. To his credit, Editor David Boardman made the incident public and warned that staff meetings should not evolve into a liberal latte klatch. Rove responded by sending a basket of cookies to the newsroom, with a note saying my wife shares in your enthusiasm.
I think a basket of pacifiers would have been more appropriate. How about you?

Rove has more class than the “journalists” ever even thought about.

I don’t recall any Clinton staffers or operatives sending flowers, cookies, cakes, etc. to Fox News, The Washington Times, The Weekly Standard, National Review, etc. etc. after they left.
Once again, Mr. Rove demonstrates the grace and classiness of Conservatives.

I think cookies were a nice touch...but I’d have laced them with a strong laxative.

Thanks Stoat for following the unwritten rule and posting pictures of a babe when her name or website is mentioned. Unfortunately, word on the street is MM is married with kids. Oh well....

The prolific Michelle Malkin should spend more time whacking the Times. They ran her out of town on a rail.
Vengeance be hers. I’ll bet she smiled through every tap of the keyboard.

Hillary’s assertion that Rove is obsessed with her reminds me of the time a woman walked up to a friend standing next to me to rip him a new one for “staring” at her all night. He told her to get over herself. He also thanked her for not stepping on his Guide Dog.

Michelle and husband Jesse were charter members of the Puget Sound FReeper Chapter when it formed in June 1998. She even wrote an article about the first meeting in the Seattle Times.

I think cookies were a nice touch...but Id have laced them with a strong laxative. Exactly! They wouldn't have time to cheer with a double dose of Super Colon Blow 4000!

Laxative wouldn’t have made a difference. Results of such are delivered to Puget Sound doorsteps every morning.

I caught Rove this weekend on Meet The Press and loved it, I wish this guy was out more before he decided to step down. He gave that wimp David Gregory all he could handle. We need more of that, tough guys who don’t give a rats a** what the left thinks.

Good stuff — but I’d rather he’d sent them a basket loaded with pacifiers, baby bottles, rattles, wittle bitty stuffed animals, and similar age-appropriate items for the infants of the MSM.
