City Looks To Deport Criminal Illegal Immigrants Via Program
After a recent spate of violent crimes allegedly committed by illegal or suspected illegal immigrants, Nashville has asked to become one of five American cities empowered to deport its own criminal illegal immigrants.
On Aug. 15, Davidson County Sheriff Daron Hallwith the full support of Metro Chief of Police Ronal Serpas and District Attorney Torry Johnsonfiled paperwork to take part in a little-known federal government initiative called the Delegation of Authority Program or section 287 (g) of the Immigration and Naturalization Act.
The 287 (g) program gives local law enforcement agencies the training and subsequent authorization to identify, process and, when appropriate, detain immigration offenders they encounter during their regular, daily law-enforcement activity, according to a U.S. Department of Homeland Security fact sheet.
Local implementation of 287 (g) would not authorize the police or sheriffs deputies to conduct active sweeps of suspected immigrants, nor would it allow any Metro agency to deport aliens who happen to be identified as illegal.
What it would do, according to Hall and others familiar with the program, is allow Sheriffs Office personnel to screen anyone who is arrested and placed in jail, and who is suspected of being an illegal immigrant, to determine if those persons previously have been deported or are otherwise subject to any federal immigration enforcement action. Presently, sheriffs deputies must feed information on arrested suspected illegal immigrants to a federal database in Vermont and wait for an answer that may or may not come.
So we deport them. They are back across the border before
the dust settles.
Try them, incarcerate them, then deport them.
Build a huge tent city if need be. Similar to Joe Arpaio’s tent compound in Phoenix.
Build it somewhere in the Southwest and keep them there until they serve their sentence.
Then deport them.
Even the well-founded RUMOR of such construction, will be enough to cause many hundreds of thousands to flee southward and out of our national territory while the gettin’ is good.
However, there WAS actually another American shot point blank in the head behind a late-night Latino disco on Nolensville Road the other day. That counts, too.
Whenever I drive that part of town, I feel like I should have a passport with me. Used to be called “Antioch”, but now it’s called “Hispanioch”. I think the street signs are still in English, but that’s about all. I’m all for it, of course, but my confidence in this toady Police Chief, Serpas, is only my complete confidence that he’ll find his way in front of a camera. I think that if you get in his way while he’s getting to the cameras, you cna be charged with “felony obstruction of publicity”.
This young lady was struck down by a foul deed that was committed by a piece of garbage that would not have entered our REPUBLIC if our immigration laws had always been strictly enforced. Was her murder covered by NBC Nightly News, CNN or the other BIG LIBERAL MEDIA NETWORKS? I am inclined to doubt it since I avoid them like the plague.
We must continue to fight to drive out these invaders as we have enought DOMESTIC criminals to deal with. Illegal immigration must be terminated in our nation before more innocent AMERICANS are killed by these vile scum from south of the border.
It’s a good start. I’ll take it. I’ve been out of town so long, its great to hear some good news from home on this.
We the People are the only ones who will do it, though.
I think most Americans are ready for it.
Sound like a gimme to me. For illegal aliens raising hell, the land of opportunity is Mexico, not the United States, so it’s a win-win situation overall to boot their sorry asses out of the US.
ping
You’ll want to see this one Grammy.
Good news!
“between April 16 when the program began and June 18, the Sheriffs Office screened for immigration violations all 802 of the foreign-born persons physically brought into jail. 605 of those persons were placed in removal proceedings, which Sheriffs Officials have said is really just federal agent speak for something in our background check showed us that this person is an illegal alien, so were going to begin the process of making them prove otherwise or well be deporting them.
