Awesome: Wikipedia edit tracker shows who’s editing which pages (DNC HQ edits Rush)

They’re getting slammed with such immense traffic that it’s actually crippled their search function for the moment. But I’m going to link anyway, first and foremost so that you can bookmark it for use later when the wave subsides and second because the “Editor’s Picks” search terms in the sidebar do work — and some of them are tasty indeed. For example, select “Democratic Party” and it’ll bring up all the edits made to all Wikipedia pages from the range of IPs (allegedly) assigned to Democratic Party computers. Scroll down to the one for Rush Limbaugh and click the number in the “diff” column and you’ll see this. The pre-edit version is in the red text in the yellow box at the top and the post-edit is in the red text in the green box.

That should start you off. I’ll leave you to find the other

I have an outright ban on all wikipedia references for research.

An innaccurate piece on Rush was put on Chelsea Clinton's wiki page. I removed it, and cited on the discussion page my reasons for removing it. Some lib put it back. I removed it again, it was put back, etc. I had a few debates with liberals on the discussion page as to why and how it was wrong info. I finally gave up and let the innaccurate piece stand, knowing that any liberal who saw it, and quoted it thinking it true, I would be able to trounce in an argument.

Months went by, and I went back to it, this time the Chelsea page still had the innaccurate piece of info. Only this time, the editing feature was turned off. I couldnt edit it at all. On top of that, I went to the discussion page, and all of my arguments on that page was removed while the liberals were left alone! The only way one could see my arguments is if one did a comparison of the current page, and the old page before my comments were removed. Because the editing feature was turned off, I couldnt put them back.

I checked out the site. Very interesting tool! Maybe you can give me a little guidance though --- it's my understanding that before you can do a search on "topic A", you also have to supply an IP address or source's city for the potential person who made the edit?

In other words, I want to find out who's made edits to the "Evan Dobelle" entry, but I have no idea who might have made them. Will this tool help me? I'm guessing not.

Look at the bottom of the search page. There is a field for you to specify which wiki page you want to examine.
