Chicago is competing with private market in selling water, so their solution is to tax their competition out of business. Typical.

Aren’t basic food stuffs supposed to be exempt from sales tax? Water is as basic as it gets.

I guess I’ll have to go to the pool and get some ‘NOODLES’ (those round foam tubes for floating around pools).
Really, I’ll open a can of PROGRESSO CHICKEN NOODLES for you.

Sales tax in Chicago is 9%, consisting of 5% state, 2.25% city, 0.75% county and 1% regional transportation authority

It would be interesting to go down to Latrobe to watch the practices, regardless. I did tour the training area but not when the Steelers were there.

How was the big reunion?

Ben didn't take any reps yesterday. But Charlie Batch and St. Pierre look awesome.

There still having problems on offensive line. The're trying to make the line more versatile and have players that can play more than one position.

Here in WV the sales tax is 6%. It used to be levied on everything, including food. They’ve started lowering it 1% every two years or so just on food. Now at 4% on food.

Chicago will try to tax the air we breathe. The city lost IMTEC (the big boat manufacturers show for dealers to go to) they are down in Orlando now. The hot dogs in Orlando are cheaper, too.

Why does a FIRST LADY have papers that should be sealed in the first place? President Clinton, to my disgust, was elected to the Presidency, not Bill AND Hillary. I am sorry, but this fact alone should scare the living daylights out of every true American. A woman who by title of marriage assumed that SHE had the rights and priveledges of our President. SHE WAS NOT ELECTED, but she sure acted like she was and now she does this?

She in fact may be a man because she has more balls than many in either the Executive OR the Legislative branches right now. The shame is that she KNOWS that she will get a pass.

Hey CC,

I just turned on Rush.

Did he explain to everyone that Chicago needs all that money because of all the patronage jobs paid by the city for relatives of the politically connected?
