The easy part of the Ward Churchill affair is over. The faux scholar and ethnic imposter was fired from the University of Colorado faculty for dishonesty in his academic profession, not for honesty in his radical politics.
Colorado citizens and taxpayers, acting through their elected regents, rightly rid themselves of a corrupt and treacherous employee. Churchill may sue all the way to the Supreme Court, but Chief Justice Roberts and his colleagues will finally uphold the board's action.
Now comes the hard part: thinking through what we the people mean by a great university in a free society, then finding the political will to reform our academic institutions accordingly.
"How Many Ward Churchills?," a 2006 report by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni, concluded that abuse of the professor's podium to undermine the ideal of higher learning itself is common nationwide. Wild Ward appears to have many soulmates among the Boulder faculty.... Churchill's departure will do little to cure the wider intellectual rot you can sense on campus.

CU spends $22 million annually on diversity programs. This includes nearly 100 activities so tangled and varied - but none addressing intellectual or political diversity, of course - that administrators conceded to an Independence Institute researcher there's no complete list.

It sure seems that way. How one can teach capitalism and be a socialist is beyond me.
Lawsuits are a blunt instrument. Besides, there aren't many non-lefties to replace the professoriate, since conservatives have largely abandoned the liberal arts for "practical" fields.
I don’t entirely disagree, but we are all but abandoning the higher education of our youth to people who wish to destroy our way of life.
Hillary Clinton is a good example. She was exposed to a leftist influence in her later year(s) in high school. That assh—e turned her from a Goldwater Girl to a died in the wool Marxist. He latched on to her and kept in touch for something like 20-30 years.
Look what the turning of one individual has wrought.

There’s actually a book out about the 10 most conservatives colleges in the US. That might be the actual title but not sure. Baylor was one of them.

Honest Injun?
The incidence of fake Indians is almost epidemic.

EDITOR’S NOTE: “Did a struggling white writer of gay erotica become one of multicultural literature’s most celebrated memoirists — by passing himself off as Native American?” So asks L.A. Weekly in its current issue, which features a story by Matthew Fleischer on an author who calls himself Nasdijj and claims to be a Navajo.
Fake memoirs have made news lately, with the revelations surrounding James Frey, the author of the best-selling book A Million Little Pieces. Nasdijj, for his part, may simply be the latest in a long line of Indian hoaxers, whose ranks also include the radical professor Ward Churchill and Forrest Carter, the author of The Education of Little Tree.

It sure does include business professors. You should remember that business professors are government employees. Which political party pays homage to government employees? Business professors support high governement spending, global warming, racial quotas, and other leftist causes including hatred of George Bush. Bush is our man, an MBA president. Do business professors despise everyone with an MBA?
In late November 2000 during the heart of the Florida fiasco, I was at a dinner with a group of business professors. Everyone was strongly against Bush, accusing him trying to steal the election. Before I left the table, I told everyone that I had two words for them - Sore Loserman. They laughed but I doubt it had any effect.
These frauds get hired and promoted by their fellow frauds. Hundreds of fellow travelers at Boudler took out big newspaper ads and marched for Ward.

But Boulder wouldn't dare, would it? Sadly, no. Those words are from the brochure of a tiny Center for Western Civilization begun at the university as a solo effort by classics professor Christian Kopff. "The permanent things, embedded in tradition, are good things for human life," his defiant prospectus continues. He invites students to join "in the fruitful exploration of the benefits and significance of Western Culture, from the ancient Greeks to the American Founding."
For perspective on the center's pathetic $86,000 budget (just increased by Brown, with touching gratitude from Kopff), consider that CU spends $22 million annually on diversity programs.

These lefty freaks aren’t fooling smart kids. More and more college kids are fighting back.
It’s a Christian college so that should be the norm. Some of the older colleges started by Christians though, such as Yale and Harvard, Colgate and others, have gone over to the ‘other side.’
