Trutheriness and Ron Paul (Michelle Malkin) [Ron Paul Says The Darnedest Things!]
Michelle Malkin ^ | May 19, 2007 | Michelle Malkin

Posted on 08/05/2007 5:34:39 PM PDT by Lovebloggers

CALLER: I want a complete, impartial, and totally independent investigation of the events of September 11, 2001 . I’m tired of this bogus garbage about terrorism. Ask Michael Meacher about how he feels about this bogus war on terrorism. Can you comment on that please?

HON. DR. RON PAUL: Well, that would be nice to have. Unfortunately, we don’t have that in place. IT WILL BE A LITTLE BIT BETTER NOW WITH THE DEMOCRATS NOW IN CHARGE OF OVERSIGHT. But you know, for top level policy there’s not a whole lot of difference between the two policies so a real investigation isn’t going to happen. But I think we have to keep pushing for it. And like you and others, we see the investigations that have been done so far as more or less cover-up and no real explanation of what went on.

LOL! The way she put it? What is so profound about the way she put it? It sounds simplistic and short-sighted to me.

Did our intelligence agencies miss that?

Not likely.

The quote you used was not from me but from post #138 by End Times Crusader.

I challenge anyone to prove that Iraq moved their WMDs to Syria before the US invasion of March, 2003. Reciting the number of trucks in a convoy, as enticing as that may be for conspiracy theorists, does not constitute proof. (I recall, in years past, similar conjecture about Ryder trucks parked at an Army base near Oklahoma City.)

My intent was to point out that when the official story gets in the way of what we want to believe, it's often an easy task to devise alternatives that are believable to like-minded individuals. This is not to say the official story is always true or always false, only that a better attempt must be made to produce all-inclusive reports if the government hopes to regain credibility in this Internet age.

Sorry, I forgot the /S tag on my previous post #129.

I’m not sure what the relevance of the image you posted is to this thread, but I’m almost certain it is relevant to every thread that will ever be posted here at freerepublic from now on.

I contend they were moved to Peoria, IL. And I have just as much proof as these other guys do.

LOL! It is no longer available on Malkin’s site, thus she must be lying! Far be it from you to take the initiative to look up the video on youtube:

I missed the "proof" part that was supposed to follow your assertion. If George Bush had proof, wouldn't he present it to shut the Democrats and the ant-war crowd up?

That would be my opinion as well. Why hold onto something like that until "the right time" to spring it on the flat-footed Democrats? Some members of this forum (a few who are no longer active) argued exactly that from March, 2003 forward whenever discoveries of centrifuge components, aluminum tubes or inert warheads were reported in the mainstream media. Speculation that there was more where that came from, and that someone was holding it back (Karl Rove giving the orders, of course) for political purposes just never made sense to me.

Yet, I would venture that a number of current FReepers cling to the belief that, yes, WMDs were found and the MSM simply ignored those reports. After all, most of the journalists are Democrats and we know they don't want to give George W Bush any credit and they don't like the war and they love terrorists and Saddam Hussein and globalist internationalist traitors. So there.

We are merely documented the patent fact that a man the MSM tries to pretend is a serious person, is in fact a raving lunatic out of the fever swamps...

The way she put it? What is so profound about the way she put it? It sounds simplistic and short-sighted to me.

Maeve and the 911 commission wrote what we are told happened. Maeve was able to put the same theory in a small paragraph that took the commission some 580 plus pages. To me, that is simple. Like some of the commissioners(thomas kean, Lee Hamilton) Maeve still have questions about the official theory.

Michelle Malkin, who’s blog contains a story about RP, had questions as well about the official theory. See an earlier post I did that has the link. For some strange reasons, she quit seeking the answers.

What a lot of people want, that includes these “bad truthers”, is a true independent investigation into what happened and who was responsible.

We will never really know what happened, lots of innocent lives were lost. Very sad. So we believe what we want to believe.

far be it for you to laugh at 911. The fact Dr Paul doesn’t do the redneck thing to kick the 911 truther who is in his face out the door does not make him a 911 truther. Any attempt to portray him as such is dishonest.

Try a little honesty and get back to me.

It is a real hoot reading the Loserdopians attempts to muddy the water and distract from the fact that Ron Paul is an absolute dumbass.

“Ron Paul is an absolute dumbass.”

So you must be a genius? What is your practice in the medical field that qualifies you to rate other doctors as “dumbasses?”

There is a BIG difference between questioning how our government failed to connect the dots and/or respond quickly enough to terror attacks and what Maeve has said:

“That 19 Muslim fanatics with boxcutters led by a man in a cave were able to outsmart the CIA, FBI, DIA and other agencies and then take hold of four passenger jets and that they were never intercepted by our own Air Force...... That is one conspiracy theory on its own that is simply unbelievable."

Maeve isn't asking why our government agencies were outsmarted and why our Air Force didn't intercept the jets -- failures which, incidentally, have logical explanations. She has drawn a conclusion. She has concluded that account is "unbelievable". So what is she implying? There weren't fanatics with box cutters? So were the phone calls from passengers describing such scenarios faked? Or is she implying that our government agencies were smart enough to know this was happening and allowed it to happen? No, Maeve isn't merely asking questions about government failures. She appears to have come to some nutty conclusions.

Let’s assume they had boxcutters. How much do boxcutters cost, and does the cost of boxcutters warrant the fed.gov looking into all our banking transactions (the excuse it now uses?)

I’m thinking the cost of boxcutters does warrant such an intrusion into our privacy. How do you justify it?

ROFLOL! You sure have chutzpah! First you accuse Michelle Malkin of lying, simply because the video was no longer available on her website. Then when I offer you a link to the video, you accuse me of being dishonest? Why don't you try acknowledging that Malkin wasn't lying, for starters? Her quotes were accurate. You didn't like the message, so you accused the messenger. Then when it was proved she wasn't lying, suddenly it doesn't matter what the message was because he was just being polite to a truther. If what he said doesn't matter, why did you accuse Malkin of lying about what he said? Furthermore, this wasn't merely a 9/11 truther showing up at one of his events. He attended an event hosted by the Student Scholars for 9/11 Truth. If he doesn't want to be lumped with 9/11 Truthers, he might want to stop pandering to them for votes!

Now, why don't you try getting your facts straight, instead of blindly jumping to make excuses for Paul at every turn?

why our Air Force didn’t intercept the jets — failures which, incidentally, have logical explanations.

Yikes. You may want to pass that information on to the disbanded 911 commissioners. As i wrote before, Thomas Kean never thought he was given forth right answers from the Pentagon or the FAA. In fact he and Hamilton wanted to have an investigation into the “obstruction of justice” involving these two departments. Of course the person who appointed him did not want him to continue any more investigations.

Omigosh! Let’s “assume” they had box cutters (or something simliar)? Yes, let’s “assume” that there really were passengers on the hijacked planes who said that. OK, so because they were able to use an inexpensive tool one time, we’re going to assume that they will always use that same inexpensive tool and never try anything more complex — especially since we now know that tactic! You’re a real deep thinker. They should have you on the worst-case-scenario planning team.

Try a little honesty and get back to me.

There's no honesty in them, just hate.

On one of the debate threads today, one of these haters was bragging that if he was on the debate stage, he'd walk over to Ron Paul and slap him off the stage, Patton-style.

Can you imagine how crude these people are, bragging how much they'd love to slap a baby doctor over the age of seventy on national television?

They're a very crude and embarrassing element here in our forum to talk about slapping around senior citizens.
