There is a BIG difference between questioning how our government failed to connect the dots and/or respond quickly enough to terror attacks and what Maeve has said:

“That 19 Muslim fanatics with boxcutters led by a man in a cave were able to outsmart the CIA, FBI, DIA and other agencies and then take hold of four passenger jets and that they were never intercepted by our own Air Force...... That is one conspiracy theory on its own that is simply unbelievable."

Maeve isn't asking why our government agencies were outsmarted and why our Air Force didn't intercept the jets -- failures which, incidentally, have logical explanations. She has drawn a conclusion. She has concluded that account is "unbelievable". So what is she implying? There weren't fanatics with box cutters? So were the phone calls from passengers describing such scenarios faked? Or is she implying that our government agencies were smart enough to know this was happening and allowed it to happen? No, Maeve isn't merely asking questions about government failures. She appears to have come to some nutty conclusions.

Let’s assume they had boxcutters. How much do boxcutters cost, and does the cost of boxcutters warrant the fed.gov looking into all our banking transactions (the excuse it now uses?)

I’m thinking the cost of boxcutters does warrant such an intrusion into our privacy. How do you justify it?

Yikes. You may want to pass that information on to the disbanded 911 commissioners. As i wrote before, Thomas Kean never thought he was given forth right answers from the Pentagon or the FAA. In fact he and Hamilton wanted to have an investigation into the “obstruction of justice” involving these two departments. Of course the person who appointed him did not want him to continue any more investigations.
