BTW: The Democrats have their turn in this “format” in two weeks on August 19.

I wonder if they'll have Rush or Brit Hume moderate it. /s

I’m supporting the GOP candidate. Ron Paul is our version of Dennis Kucinich. He makes noise, that’s all.

___________
Amen. I agree 100%.

B/S and thanks Jim... used to respect this site until it became the nest of Ron Paul wackos and Bush bashers.

I notice that you respond with the pat Rudy bashing lines, but never address the WOT and Iraq and the Paul wackos and the Bush bashers. That says a lot about how the site has changed.

“I don’t get the sniping between supporters of the different GOP candidates. Disagree, understand different sentiments, but some of this anger and name calling seems to be very counter productive.”

Agree with what you said, it is as if people can’t get past today, can’t think ahead. How can we work together in the general election if all this hate is being spread around? I can see disagreeing with someone’s policy or votes, but a lot of it is character assassination that goes beyond the candidate [or not yet candidate] to his supporters. It saps enthusiasm.

I wish some of these comments could be saved for the Democrats.

Whoever wins the general election is going to need a mandate to govern. Needs as big a margin as possible, like Reagan. Some of this stuff is going to detract from a possible mandate. The elections since Reagan have been squeakers compared to some in the past and it makes it tough to get anything done when a person is in office. Why can’t freepers see that?

“If I was on that podium I would have walked over to ron paul and give him a Patton slap across his cowardly puss and thrown him off the stage for disgracing our troops.”

The troops don’t seem to feel disrespected...

Rep. Ron Paul (Texas), the anti-Iraq war candidate for the Republican presidential nomination and darling of the Internet, said his colleagues have taken notice that he has raised more money from active service members than any other GOP White House hopeful.

Like they say, if you argue with an idiot... after a few minutes outsiders won't be able to tell who's who.

So vote for Ron Paul, vote for Hunter (he's rocking the world), vote for a candidate that won't get in the race, vote for Hillary, or vote for Obama...

Knock yourself out!

You didn’t respond to my post #436 - you deflected with a LEFT(pun intended)-handed insult. Why is that?

What makes you think I support Paul or Hunter? Are you a mind reader?

“But for all I’ve seen right now, I’m just seeing people, many on FR, who are enamored with his screen presence and image. Give me some substance and give it soon.”

If you’re looking for substance on FDT, you can find it on the internet. Most things that he does are on the internet and there is plenty of substance to get behind him on.

I support FDT and know others who do, and not a single one is supporting him because of his screen presence and image. You’re assuming something.

You joined late last year and now you think the site has changed and you are complaining to Jim Robinson? Perhaps you would be happier on another board as this is a board of thinking conservatives whose brains are not locked together. If the posts here upset you, perhaps you would be happier on a more regimented board where posts are more attuned to your thinking. You cannot change the Freepers but you can choose a board that makes you happier.

So what?... who cares what Giuliani thinks. I object to those deliberately trying to bash any of the Republican candidates by ignoring or inflating Hillary's and the DEM's position on the WOT.

The WOT is the number one issue for me. Ignoring it doesn't work.

“I don’t think the Dems are such a “shoe-in” when the Dem controlled Congress has such horribly low ratings”

Thank God for that, but MSM won’t hammer that point home, unfortunately!

The typical news cast, national or local seems to be basically the same, day in and day out. Once in a while a few names might change, but their agenda and formula don’t vary that much. To me, it seems like they only really push their picks, and I wonder if those people would really need to raise that much money with all the news exposure they get. It doesn’t seem right.

I’m kind of ignorant on politics compared to most of the people here, I’m sure. I am trying to learn and educate myself though. I never voted until I got married, then I thought I’d better be responsible about it and try to learn more about the decisions I make. Being married and having kids turned everything around. I was kind of a sheeple until then.

Here’s the deal:

We have NOT had the PRIMARIES yet, so now is the time to find out about the candidates BEFORE the primaries, so we don’t make a mistake.

Again, Rudy would not be so good on the WOT because of his pro-ILLEGAL immigration stance, and I showed you proof on my previous post, but you chose to ignore that.

Rudy wasn’t the hero on 9/11, the police and firefighters were, including my nephews, one a police officer, and one a firefighter.

My firefighter nephew missed death by minutes on 9/11, but lived because his brave firechief saw danger and ordered his men out, counted each firefighter under his supervision to make sure they were all safe. The fire chief didn’t make it. He is the hero.

Rudy has an image of being good on WOT, but border security = national security, and Rudy has a strong pro-ILLEGAL immigration history.

And we are still bringing out Hillary’s countless flaws and evil.

But we also want to find out the best candidate to support BEFORE the primaries.

“..but MSM won’t hammer that point home, unfortunately!..”

But despite MSM, the people still give the Dem-controlled Congress a low poll #. Isn’t that hopeful, though?

And you and I can help bring out the truth by writing even a short letter to the editor to our hometown newspaper (or even a national newspaper, but they get countless letters).

Also, welcome to politics, and I can understand how your children got you interested, because politics affect so many things in our life (unfortunately too much).
