I taped a segment on the O'Reilly Factor for airing tonight to defend Free Republic against charges that it is a hate site. The segment will air in the 'D block' around 8:35 p.m. EDT and rerun at 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. EDT.
Rather than tell how it went, I'll leave it for folks to watch and decide for themselves. I hope I did right by FR.
We'll be having company tonight as some of Bill O'Reilly's two million-plus viewers check out FR for themselves. So please bear that in mind as you comment tonight. The Daily Kos is waging a very nasty personal campaign of retribution against O'Reilly. No sense in us piling on. Let's use this as an opportunity to show people why FR is the best conservative site on the web.
In case you didn’t see Kristinn Taylor interviewed on O’Reilly, the video is now up on the Fox News site.
Here’s the link and then just look for Kristinn Taylor's photo, then click on that.

Update 2: The link to the Fox News site which is hosting the O'Reilly video works best with Internet Explorer.

Comment:
Are these the same several papers I saw lying on the counter at the Kalamazoo Kinkos....LOL.
I’m certainly not the most media-savvy person, but isn’t BO’s game here just to increase interest in his television and radio programs?
I considered sending this to you privately, but see no need to hide it from others.....in case they feel the same way.
Look up posts by Peach, Fair Opinion, Celtjew Libertarian, stuned_beeber, liberty4alland4ever, WestVirginiaRebel, AZRepublican and quidnunc (one of his final posts here)

Also, I am guessing you missed this gem of a post to Quidnunc early on that thread which caused several freepers to opus or just leave quietly:

[[I believe that BOR doesnt understand the blogosphere, and self proclaimed doesnt go online that much ]]
Bill O resents the blogosphere- He’s a traditionally trained media personality, and as such has made it clear that he resents viewers being pulled from mainstream media into Blogs and online websites. His annimosity has come through a couple of times towards blogs, and He’s made it clear that he doesn’t think free speech should be allowed on Blogs and feels that there needs to be some sort orf governmental control over what is said on websites- He reiterated that last night when He told Kristinn that he has a moral obligation to hire professional moderators to control the comments on FR. Bill wants to hold the owners of websites responsiblke for comments that get snuck through the ‘security checks’ employed by volunteer moderators who graciously give hteir time and energy scouring hte htousands of daily posts trying to keep a lid on the hate speech that makes it’s way onto the site by people with nothign better to do than spew hate and venom and try to make this site look bad.
One poster said he thought there might have been a post and run shortly before Bill’s hired help scoured this site- That is a very distinct possibility because Bill NEEDED something to show in order to make his case against FR.
Hopefully people are writing in to Bill and explaining the blatantly obvious fact to Bill that while some hate speech might not be uncovered and promptly deleted by FR, that Daily KOS IS a hate site and makes no bones about allowing the most vile rhettoric to remain on their site prominently displayed for everyone to see.
Watch Bill O- and you’ll note that he really is upset over the fact that privately owned sites are getting more ‘viewers’ than his show because he full well knows that blogs and sites like htis aren’t sold out to the capitalist money god and will tell things straight up insteasd of fudging the news in order to make a point like Bill and Fox do.
Evidently the folks O'Rielly tasked to find a right-wing analog of the drivel posted on the DailyKOS, did a Google search, and came up with a discussion on FR of an article in sfgate.com condemning an article entitled (drum roll please) "Why I hate blacks" (Published as part of a series, all by the same author including "Why I hate whites" and "Why I hate Asians"--evidently the author is an even-handed jerk, rather than an actual racist, but I digress).
I guess that means www.foxnews.com is a 'Hate site' according to BOR's delicate sensibilities, since the same phrase turns up in a Google search there (discussing the same article.)
While we're at it, the only Google or Yahoo search hit on the phrase "homosexuals are dogs" on FR (as of this morning 11:00 AM CDT) is in a defense of the notion of sovereign immunity as applied to Robert Mugabe, on an occasion when a homosexual activist wanted to arrest him in London because of his (Mugabe's) anti-homosexual rantings.
Likewise there are no Google or Yahoo search hits for the phrase "Hillary should be assassinated".
BOR is either a liar or too trusting of a Dan Rather fake-but-accurate type on his staff.
It's always amusing how the left (just a wild guess that O'Rielly's staffer is a leftist), or people pandering to the left (which is what O'Rielly is doing here) have to resort to using brief quotations taken out of context to impute scurrilous views to the right, while we on the right can conveniently, after the method of R. Emmett Tyrell in the American Spectator and the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth, manage to demolish our opponents by extended direct quotation in context.

Q? Where was it EVER allowed for ANYONE to post “I hate blacks”? That’s just not done here and if it was I find it hard to believe someone didn’t hit the abuse button. BOR is a liar and he should prove those things were posted yesterday.
Welcome to FR, kauky!
Good job, bob! I watched BOR just to see Kristinn, and it was clear to me that BOR didn't know what he's talking about. I used to watch his show, but quit a year or so ago--he's too liberal, too pompous, and too wrong about too many issues.
Nor would any other liberal, except for Joe Lieberman, who wouldn't be invited.
Yes, I made sure to watch it. I think O’Reilly was fair. What say you?
I finally got to see the show segment last night. BOR did make some specific charges and quoted certain posts. Kristinn has since asked him for a list of those posts along with their links. He’s hoping to hear from BOR by tomorrow. So the ball, as they say, is in BOR’s court.
I would only add one comment for Mr. Bill O'Rielly. Mr. O'Rielly you really should hire some professional "researchers"! You know it would be the right thing to do especially in light of the amateurish job the ones you rely on did.
I was thinking the same thing. Conservative men are *hot*!
Did you see the 6 comments that follow the article? Vile, vulgar and disgusting, as usual, by the progressives. Makes FR look like angels on a cloud. One person said he found one of the hate threads pretty easily on Free Republic. Obviously a lie as he didn't produce the URL.My interpretation is that they are saying that those posts were on FR.
I was at the dentist for a while this morning but now that I am back I have removed the most vile disgusting and false accusatory comments.
Hey, as O’Reilly suggested, maybe if you got paid you’d do your job better. Hehe.
;-)
Your welcome and thank you!
Yes, I do have the unedited version.
