New DH Videos
This person did a wonderful job:
Some of you have seen this one already, but here's a link anyway:
>>>It is kind of a throwback to old-time political jingles—”I Like Ike”, etc...
We had a local candidate run for office about a month or two ago. His name rhymed with Joe DiMaggio and reworked DiMaggio’s old jingle for his campaign song.
No one has been able to get that jingle out of their head since.
Post 8 shows you lack nothing.
Bless your heart~~!
Thank you. Thank you very much.

For those who are just starting to know Duncan Hunter, learn more about Hunter here:

And check out the link in my tagline.
DH has hid himself in congress for 26 years, knows nothing of the art of self promotion, has no name recognition with the populace, and has nothing on the resume that demonstrates executive talent other than he ran a store front legal office prior to becoming a career politician. We are trying to pick someone with the most talent out of 300,000,000 to be the leader. DH’s core beliefs are rock solid conservative, but he ‘aint got game” to compete for a national office.
This wont penetrate the thick skulls in the fan club but I tried!
First, I appreciate your taking the time to post these. Whatever I think of the individual videos, I recognize that campaigning in the future will depend more and more on having some kind of YouTube effort. Maybe these videos won't draw any votes. Maybe Mr. Hunter's campaign won't develop the support needed for him to be president. However, if those who like a candidate won't make an effort for him, then he certain cannot win.
Secondly, idiots who come here to attack you for campaigning for your candidate are doing nothing to help their own candidates. They insult us for supporting Mr. Hunter and then expect that we're going to drop everything to campaign for their candidate. My answer to them is first, "If I liked your candidate best, I'd be supporting him already. The more that you insult me, the less I'll feel inclined to help your candidate at any point."
Thirdly, the first video doesn't look like something that will have much appeal to the typical YouTube viewer. I suspect that older people might like the first video, but I don't think as many of them are going to be surfing YouTube looking for videos.
Finally, I liked your American is a Good Nation video very much. If you wanted to improve that video, I'd make a few suggestions. I hope that NordP is still reading so that maybe she can tell me whether those suggestions are likely to be effective. Instead of the cartoon flag and text stating about Mr. Hunter's positions, could you find some generally patriotic pictures and some pictures that would go with Mr. Hunter is saying. Pictures of the Statue of Liberty, the Iwo Jima Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial Wall, maybe the Lincoln Memorial, and any pictures of the flag would have more impact than the cartoon flag. Pictures of American soldiers helping people around the world would also have more impact. Part of why I pinged David Osborne to this thread is that he's in Iraq, has posted some nice pictures from there, and is a Duncan Hunter supporter. He might be able to let you use some exclusive or nearly exclusive pictures of his.
I disagree with those who criticize this video because the video doesn't go into specifics of Mr. Hunter's positions. With the right pictures, I think the recorded speech could be pretty powerful. The speech and images could stir patriotic feelings, and a good video that stirs those feelings would give Mr. Hunter positive name recognition among those who saw it.
In making these comments, I'm just saying some thoughts that came to my mind when I saw the video. I don't have the skill or equipment to do this stuff, and I applaud you for giving it a try. I wish I could do some of this stuff.
Thanks,
Bill
>To me, start with a question or two — things we are really upset about, and then show how Duncan has taken on these issues — never waivering — man of action, quick type, easy to understand concepts, and finish with the “feel proud to be an American” ending.<
Good idea, NordP. Loved the first one, W., a great concept. but Hunter needs to lead the parade. My take:
A colorful show of the flag, music fades to very soft background throughout the entire spot. DH, seated at a desk in an attractive room, introduces himself, close up, fade back, saying in just several short sentences why he is running for president. Smiles.
Then zero in on the flag bringing up again the upbeat patriotic music, with “Duncan Hunter for President” in large over words.
Just an idea. You are a doer, Walter! :)
>>>...the Duncan-maniacs all along.
Pyschoes for Hunter!

I've never met someone who has either principle or intelligence and yet doesn't understand someone doing what he believes is right. Apparently, you lack both principles and intelligence. Your inadequacies in these areas are reason enough not to take your recommendations on anything.

>Run, Weedley, run... isn’t there another fire your team needs putting out?<
LOL! Pretty good, Kim!
Actually, Walter, on second viewing, I really think the first spot is a great attention getter. Love the tune. If the actual spot was more sharp and clear, I think it would a real winner!
I offer my post #50 as a good follow up spot perhaps. The close should reflect his innate sincerity. Ending with a smile very “inviting”. LOL! It’s been years since I’ve done this sort of thing. Fun!
And i do wish a Duncan Hunter or his ilk was presidential timber; sad to say he is not.
We have less to lose without DH as president than we have to with the wicked she-beast as president.

I’ll watch these later. Thanks
Thought police, is that you?
Not same as me. I would never nip your bud.
