Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for today’s activities.
DC Metroland weather report ~ Today.... Morning showers, becoming partly cloudy this afternoon. High around 85F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 30%. ~ Tonight....Partly cloudy. Low 63F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.
We got a call from Mr. Beachy's sister who lives about 30 minutes from us....a little further south than we are. She thinks a tornado may have set down somewhere near their home cause while driving home she saw fields of corn flattened and when she got home there were a number of trees down on her property, on a portion of the house and near the pool area, as well. Don't know the extent of the damage; insurance guy comes out today.
One of our meteorologists said that it's possible a "weak" tornado may have come through. Winds might have reached at least 80 mph. Some real damage reported in that area.
We'll see first hand, as SIL called to request help in cutting up downed trees and clean up. So, after dropping granddaughter at the airport in the morning, we'll grab equipment and head over to help out.
We did get some rain on our homestead and no damage. Again, the storm came at us from the northwest and headed southeast, just skimming past our little cottage.
Speaking of granddaughter, this is her last day with us before returning home, so after my good morning round, I won't be here the rest of the day.
That means music, fun, and mayhem!
Time for me to make my rounds. But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!

I am having a sausage, egg and cheese buscuit now.
It is pouring outside here again - great for the lawns.
I wish I could have that breakfast but without making it. LOL It was nice that had the rain this week. It didn’t have to rain down all at once in a short time though. ;) I notice things greening up again. It’s nice...No watering. ;)
