COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- In a study co-authored by an Ohio State professor, whites were asked how much money they'd want if they had to live the rest of their lives as blacks.
The typical answer was about 15-hundred dollars.
Compare that to the one million dollars the same people said they'd need to swear off T-V for the remainder of their lives.
Psychology professor Philip Mazzocco from Ohio State's Mansfield campus says the findings suggest whites aren't bothered by the idea of being black. He says whites may be ignorant of the difficulties many blacks still face because of their skin color.

I’d consider paying a one-time fee of $1500 if “studies” like this were never, ever conducted at tax-payer expense, ever again.

I don’t recall making such a claim. All races experience some kind of different treatment. I used to get treated differently than the chinese when i went into the small chinese (real chinese, not tourist trap chinese) restaurants in Boston, NYC and Oakland, etc., until I started talking the language, then they were much nicer to me.

Every time I fill out an online job application, and come across that EEOC thing that asks my gender and race, I ask myself the same question.
I wonder what would happen if I said female and hispanic? Who's going to tell me that I'm not Latino enough? I'm adopted, I just might have Spanish ancestors in the mix, and besides, it's who I feel I am right now...
