I know we’re not all policy wonks, but this research from the Heritage Foundation contains a wealth of information (ammunition) for those of us that believe that we should have a healthcare system operating on free market principles as opposed to Michael Moore’s vision of a state-run monopoly on healthcare turning our hospitals into 1950s psyche wards. Please post relevant links and materials.

P.S. the U.S. Government pays over 60% of all medical costs and we have two government failures called Medicare and Medicaid that are going to go bankrupt leaving us with trillions in debt.

An excellent read. I am hoping for even more specific information along with anecdotal stories of mismanagement to come out soon. People need more information on the dangers of Socialized medicine.

You know what really makes me sick....Michael Moore!!!
Did you see the commercial he is running to promote the movie? He has people giving positive comments about the movie, then at the end, he shows The President in an interview answering a question and he makes it look like the President is commenting positively about the movie, SICKO.
Why can't he just go away.

The Left wants universal healthcare in order to force all doctors (who would work for the government by default in that case) to give abortions on demand, regardless of their medical or religious beliefs.
Own a gun...under universal healthcare your doctor will have to declare you “unstable” or “violent” or “crazy.”

It is also worth noting that the percentage of government spending is expanding from 60% of all healthcare $$$ to 70+% of heathcare spending by 2015 or so, as Medicare Rx, VA, Medicaid, SCHIP, etc are dramatically expanded.
Single payor is about establishing total government control over a critical part of our lives, NOT a question of access, costs or “fairness”

Here's one for ya:
Wal-Mart Antagonists Set to Join Edwards
It's about two of the professional Walmart agitators who realize that Edwards is offering a free ride for their socialist delusions. The scary part is that they have cornered WalMart into promoting natinoal healthcare as a way out of unionization. I'm sure this has been posted elsewhere, but here is is from this article:
The company has kept its word and still adamantly opposes unions in its stores. But in February, Wal-Mart agreed to work with the SEIU to push for universal access to affordable health care. The partnership floored many in the labor movement and stole some of the thunder of Wal-Mart's critics.
"Two years ago, no one would have ever expected [Wal-Mart Chief Executive] Lee Scott and [SEIU President] Andy Stern to be discussing health-care issues. Now they're at a point where they're actually at the same table," said Nu Wexler, spokesman for Wal-Mart Watch. "If Wal-Mart is serious about pressing for universal health care, that alone will make our work worthwhile."

Recently confronted a friend's liberal wife about sicko. She fawned about it and how terrible our system was compared to the Canadian model. She claimed there was no waiting, and the care was superior to ours. Think I'll send this to her. (I know she won't read it anyway).
Thanx
