My brother in law lives in Canonsburg, and I'm not to far away in Crafton.
We have a no burning ban, but I got around that by always keeping food near my firepit. That way when the cops stop I tell them it's a cooking fire and they go away. Espically helpful as the entire neighborhood often gathers in my yard for block parties, Halloween and other holidays. Everybody brings whatever they have to burn. Admittedly sometimes the flames do get a little big, hehehe!
I wouldn't be surpsied if Crafton gets a no grilling ban too. Sigh...the great socialist cesspool that is Western Pennsylvania!

I’d go to the next city council meeting and question the mayor’s legal authority to write law without going through the council.
If a mayor tried that here in my area he would be recalled and thrown out of office.

My guess is this will be the last term for this Mayor...what an idiot.

And all because one guy is bothered by one neighbor.
Everyone should attend the council meeting armed with grill tongs.

Canonsburg resident Dave DiTullio complained that a neighbor constantly starts fires next door, sending smoke onto DiTullio's property. In Georgia, we consider the smoke from a charcoal fire wafting over our yard to be a GOOD thing. Dog agrees.
"Now you can't even eat a weenie at night! You've got to eat your weenies before eight," said Barb Mavrich, 58, a librarian who said the ruling was the talk of the town.
Um, I'm sure that a librarian could discreetly eat weenies at any time, Barb, just don't do it out on the porch ;)

Did anyone standup, flip this mayor off, and tell him where he could stick his “Executive Order”?

Banning Grilling??????? There is nothing I love more on a summer evening than the smell of searing animal flesh wafting through the air.

I just googled the good Mayor’s name. He donates to Dem candiates and seems hell bent to be a politician for the rest of his life.
The nice thing about this EO is he just handed any hope of re-election to his opponent.

“Lou Marra, 72, who attends every council meeting, said the mayor issued the order Monday night after Canonsburg resident Dave DiTullio complained that a neighbor constantly starts fires next door, sending smoke onto DiTullio’s property.”
Warnings about this have been sent far and wide on FR. However, folks refuse to take the blinders off and have happily celebrated the fascist policies that allowed this to happen.
