Despite being given more attention than any other documentary film in history, Michael Moore's Sicko is performing below expectationsat this rate taking in less than one-fifth of his previous film Fahrenheit 9/11. Moore's smackdown performance with Wolf Blitzer on CNN was calculated to generate controversy about and rekindle interest in the lagging Sicko box office. Moore's schtick was like throwing red meat to his large core fan base that already thinks that CNN is right of center, too soft on (if not in cahoots with) the Bush-Cheney administration, and complicit in the selling of the Iraq war to the American people.

Given Moore’s reputation for twisting and creating “facts,” you are a sicko if you pay money to see this crap.
If a sicko flops in a movie theater, and nobody’s there to see it, did it really flop?
MM arguing with CNN...Buh wah ha ha ha!!
Leni Riefenstahl would be so proud............
Maybe they should offer discount tickets at McDonalds - that’s where most of Mr. Moore’s target audience hangs out anyway.
I sense that the MSM has grown tired of Herr Moore..........
Maybe he should make a sequel, Sicko 2, starring Muslim terrorists as doctors.
Riefenstahl was a Nazi but did have great talent as a film maker. Michael Moore is just a fat money grubbing fraud.
Sounds like Mikey's "large core fan base" is sicko, all right; mentally sicko.
Please, sir, can I have some Moooore!
Blitzer had to spend so much time kissing Mooreâe ass because he is, and has, such a huge one.
I have to agree with Moore on one thing, CNN’s programming is crap.
If anyone is considering seeing this, please please buy a ticket to something else and theater-hop. I’d rather see the money go to Pixar or even Disney before MM.
In that case Hermann Göring would be so proud.....
Well, then I’ll say it again. He’s a putz.
Moore is irrelevant.
Moore’s problem this time is Castro.
In Moore’s prior fraudulent documentaries, his lies were mostly about things the public had little knowledge of. In this case, only a blithering idiot would swallow Moore’s argument that Cuba has superior health care to the United States. People know what Cuba is like. They know that people risk their lives to flee from there on handmade rafts.
He got a little too carried away with his own ego, and made a lying film in which the lies are so obvious that only someone from the lower 5% of the population would believe them. In Moore’s prior films, the lies dealt with material that was vague enough that the lower 20% of the population believed them. The difference between the stupidest 20% of the population and the stupidest 5% is enough to determine the success of a movie.
If Moore had centered the film on Canada or England, it might have been more successful. Probably 20% of Americans are stupid enough to believe socialized medicine in those two countries is superior to our health care. But only 5% would swallow that line regarding Cuba.
