New Seven Wonders of the World named

The original seven wonders of the ancient world were selected by the Greek philosopher Philon more than 2,000 years ago.

The Pyramids of Giza are the only one of the original wonders still standing.

They have been given honorary status in addition to the new seven wonders, after Egyptian officials complained that it was undignified that the pyramids had to compete in an online poll.

I would have picked the Pantheon over the Colliseum. And Mt. Rushmore over the Statue of Liberty.

How in God’s name could the Statue of Liberty be nominated above Mt Rushmore. One is a mere statue while the other is a testament to man’s ingenuity.

Looks like the Buddhas of Bamyan were blown off the list?
Being a UNESCO World Heritage Site did not help?

Why are most of the “new” Seven Wonders in the third world?
Why are none in the USA? I would think Mt. Rushmore should be listed. Maybe we a Seven womders of America List?
1. The Statue of Liberty.
2. The Golden Gate Bridge
3. The Empire State Building
4. Mt. Rushmore carvings.
5. The Pentigon
6. The Sears Tower in Chicago.
7. ?

I too subscribe to the Red Star news—all the leftist propaganda every comrade needs to know (for their own good).
