Language is the most basic element that unifies a culture and nation, and we can’t even demand that the “new” immigrants learn this.

The immigrant of past fled government, the immigrant of today knows his entitlements.

The immigrant of past wanted to assimilate, may that be Irish, Italian, German, Russian, whoever; the immigrant of today want’s to not assimilate into the host nation and culture and often even despises us (Like those who blew up the WTC, wanted to hit Ft Bliss, etc). Those who came in a long time ago, came poor but they had a Judeo-Christian work ethic and value system. What we are importing today, and many that are slipping across our boarders, belong to cultures that are dysfunctional. Bimbo's from the Caribbean who are happy smoking pot and living off the state. Even if it is true, you can't say it!

In the past we had Ellis Island, and thousands were rejected and kicked back home. Today it is not PC to state that one does not like the idea that roughly 10% of illegals are criminals in their home countries. Many have diseases, few are college educated or have any usable skills. Most can’t even speak the language. This is long term no ingredient for success. What this immigration issue is really about:

1. Voting blocks and swaying them to ones side.

2. Cheap slave labor for which the bill also had many provisions, so the slaves can work their masters cotton farms.

The Democrats want to be the champions of the lower class, after all, they pushed a minimum wage hike. What’s going to happen when in a few years our economy cools, as it eventually surely will? Why are the "champions" of the poor supporting a bill that basically has loopholes in it so large businesses can exploit these people? Why are Republicans and Democrats each so eager to out do each other in showing "We are the friends of the Hispanic voter?"

Our government is a conglomeration of self interests by individuals clinging to, or hoping to seize power, political parties, and special interests with money. Few have a true cause or belief in this nation that is guiding them. They are no different than Rome's Senators. To them it's a game without rules and limits, as evidenced by the Democratic leveraging of the Iraq war in the last elections, even if this meant they are hurting the war effort and their own troops whom they say they care so much about.

Seen it have you? Bogart was a mans actor like John Wayne, not pretty but hey, we just like tough guys.

Bogie was a lefty who defended Communists in Hollywood during the HUAC hearings. Somehow I couldn't see John Wayne doing the same thing.

The dead bill actually had a section on what we must do (translation - spend) to get Mexico to change its culture of corruption which the bill itself said was endemnic in every level of public and private sectors.

You have to take this into context, the Bergen Record’s subscription rates have fallen so fast that they are now refusing to cancel free daily delivery subscriptions.

Since receiving the Bergen Record for free every day to my door for the last 2+ years, and seeing my neighbors also get a paper every day, I started to ask people if they pay for the paper.

And pretty much anyone who ever mentions the Bergen Record to me, are all asked the same question. Did the Record suddenly start getting delivered to you every day to your driveway without you doing anything to subscribe? Did you ever get billed?

And other friends and family have never paid for daily subscription, yet sometime in fall of 2005 we all started to get it delivered. And even after calling to get it canceled, the paper still shows up every morning in my driveway.

The Bergen Record’s subscription numbers to their advertisers are in need of a thorough ABC audit, cause the amount of unopened papers getting tossed into the garbage daily is getting ridiculous.

This Hernandez guy is disgusting race baiter, in a physical distribution area where more than 1 in 8 residents are either foreign born or first generation. This is on top of the utterly and completely racist OpEd pieces that are run occasionally, either unsigned or by Lawrence Aaron.

“No, i’m so ticked off at all the illegals no matter where they came from because they forced me to either become an illegal contractor violating all the tax, wage, and insurance laws or go out of business.

I closed my business in 1992 and now my earnings are 1/3 of what they were.”

Very sad. I used to buy land, paper it up, and build tract housing. I quit 4 years ago. I now build 2 or 3 luxury homes, with old world American craftsmen. Easy to sell, but I miss the old ways.

How about we just start with “ILLEGAL”. Mr. ‘ez, obviously, doesn’t understand the word either.

Ms. Chavez? Isn’t she the one who didn’t get confirmed, by Democrats, for some big Washington job because she had hired an “illegal” as her child’s nanny? Evidently, she’s forgotten the meaning of the word too. (In spite of the fact that I really like her and-—USUALLY-—agree with her.)

I think that is what MOST of the people in this country want. Nothing unreasonable like, “boil all Hispanics in oil”. I don’t think discrimination against Hispanics has EVER been widespread.

We just want to know that the immigrants that are coming here are doing so legally, AFTER being thoroughly checked out by immigration. We have a RIGHT to know who is crossing our borders. If Hispanics, or any others, are to dumb to understand that, I pity them.

Hopefully, we will wind up with an immigration policy as good as Mexico’s.

Unlike illegal invaders (ending in ez), Americans can read (and speak) English, and are fully aware of the treacherous situation in which these invaders have placed law-abiding Americans. The facts are these:

Illegal Immigrants Will Receive Welfare Under Senate Bill
www.heritage.org | June 18, 2007 | Robert E. Rector

EXCERPT In criticizing recent Heritage Foundation research on the cost of low-skill immigration and amnesty, proponents of the Senate immigration legislation (S. 1348), including Administration spokesmen, have falsely claimed that the proposal would not give illegal immigrants access to the U.S. welfare system.

While provisions of the Senate bill would delay illegal immigrants' access to welfare for several years, over time nearly all amnesty recipients would be offered legal permanent residence and access to more than 60 federal means-tested welfare programs.

Specifically, Z visa holders would immediately be given Social Security numbers and would begin earning entitlement to Social Security and Medicare (which are not means-tested welfare programs).

Some ten to thirteen years after enactment, amnesty recipients would begin to gain access to a wide variety of means-tested welfare programs, such as Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, public housing, and Food Stamps. The amnesty process under S.1348, and the different stages of the process at which amnesty recipients become eligible for different government benefits, are precisely described in "Amnesty Will Cost U.S. Taxpayers at Least $2.6 Trillion."

THE ENEMY WITHIN: The Mexica Movement; SEPARATISTS define the immigration debate
13 JUNE 2007 By Bridget Johnson
FR Posted on 06/13/2007 6:07:44 AM PDT by radar101

Many Americans are wary of reconquista aims voiced over the years by groups such as MEChA. But the Mexica Movement - largely composed of young people, (seen at public events) minces no words about its aims, which are broader and accompanied by more disturbing rhetoric. ‘We are slaves of the parasitic genocidal Europeans,’ states the Mexica Movement’s philosophy; another online Mexica article states about Europeans that ‘a cancer must be removed and parasites must also be removed, for the sake of your life as a healthy human being.’

According to the Mexica Movement, begun in 1993, all Western Hemisphere borders are considered European and illegal, and North America is its indigenous nation of ‘Anahuac’ of the ‘Nican Tlaca’ people.

The concept of the Aztlan homeland (territory purchased by the U.S. at the end of the Mexican-American War) is criticized for recognizing European borders. Che Guevara is even panned for being too European: ‘Che was an Argentine, European descent, not our people!’ states the Mexica Movement’s Web site. ‘We don’t need no pinche Che!’

The Mexica Movement is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization, well-organized and omnipresent with the slickest signs and literature at rallies, that calls Latinos who protest illegal immigration ’self haters,’ traitors and more: ‘The only rational comparison would be to the numerous Jewish Nazis who worked for Hitler and somehow rationalized sending their own brothers and sisters to concentration camps, and in some cases personally firing the ovens,’ as written on the Mexica Web site’s report of a December 2005 protest. After all, ‘individualism is treason,’ notes their philosophy statement. ‘Where’s your anger and your confrontation of this occupation and ongoing colonization? … But we care more about 6 million Jews. ‘… Participation in liberation is not a choice, it is an obligation. … We need a new generation of warriors.’

Liberation, they claim, will be aided by demographic shifts. ‘We were only 4% in the 1970 census. We were 14% in the 2000 census. We are projected to be 25% in 2020. We are projected to be over 50% of the population of the “Western USA” in 2050. We will easily be the majority of the population of the “USA” in 2100. We’ve got to be prepared for liberation then by getting knowledge now.’…” Read more here: http://www.dailynews.com/bridgetjohnson/ci_6115657

Illegal Alien Thugs Set Fires Along Mexican Border

Criminal invaders are setting fire to forests and fields along the border to distract U.S. Border Patrol Agents to make their crossing easier, throwing Molotov cocktails at US agents’ vehicles, and setting fire to their observation posts........

=================================================

SS laws were changed for illegal invaders; puts illegal invaders welfare above that of law-abiding Americans. -------the US Senate has voted to give "undocumented workers" credit for the money they contributed to Social Security while they were here illegally.

That rewards illegals for breaking our laws, taking money that would otherwise be going to law-abiding Americans and giving it to illegals.

Since these illegals have used fake SS numbers, multiple fakeSS numbers, and actual numbers that belong to other people, it's incredibly difficult to untangle the mess and figure how much they've really contributed, if anything, to Social Security.

This move, like a lot of others in the failed Senate amnesty bill, puts the welfare of illegal immigrants above that of the American people.

The US Social Security system is being looted by illegals use multiple SS numbers---some even rent out their SS numbers so other illegals can pocket $3500 Earned Income Tax refunds.

Now illegals can collect US Social Security with multiple fraudulent SS cards, whereas American citizens have to work and contribute far longer than illegals before collecting.

Illegals here get paid under the table, don't pay taxes, and send billions of US dollars back to their corrupt country.

A widely-used SS# scheme: the illegals name their anchor baby the same name as the parent. They obtain a valid SS# for the anchor baby; the parent uses it, no one checks beyond name-matching, if that.

CNN's Lou Dobbs reported illegals are stealing small childrens' SS# because a child doesn't use a number very often so it is near impossible to detect a stolen number.

Dobbs also mentioned that business owners give illegals SS# of a previous employee (it is not a felony to give away SS#s but it is a felony to use them).

Another twist. Now illegals don't have to use rented or fake SS# because they've just been granted the right to collect SS if they have worked a short time (44 months I think), whereas legit American citizens have to work for far longer before collecting.

Thanks to conniving invaders, pretty soon American senior citizens will be on the "Mexican retirement system"---selling sticks of chewing gum on street corners.

=================

The US Totalization Agreement between the U.S. and Mexico was signed in June 2004, and is awaiting the president's signature.

The impact of the US Totalization Agreement with Mexico on the US Social Security Trust Fund would, in effect, ship the US Social Security system to Mexico.

==================

These thugs screwed up their home countries and now they want to screw up America. Get all illegals and their anchor babies OUT of the USA and keep them out.

When they can’t attack your argument, they attack you. Falling back on this old ‘racism’ canard is a rather transparent attempt to avoid defending an indefensible position.

Hands down, IMO, the playing of the race card is what has silenced so many Americans. Many folks I’ve talked to are ‘wispering’ to each other how they feel on this issue because they are afraid of being racist.

Or, they are being silenced. I went to the customer service desk at Lowes to complain about all of their signage, every bit of it has a Spanish translation. Two employees leaned across the counter to wisper to me that while they were in 100% agreement with me, Lowes prevents them from saying so.

One Hispanic leader, and I don’t recall his name, when asked why they play the race card, answered...because it works.

And it explains why even some of the most conservative Hispanics realize that all the posturing about illegal immigrants is really an attack aimed at everybody whose name ends in "ez."

Osama Bin Ladenez
Mohamed Attaez
Mahmoud Ahmadinejadez

After considering these three guys, maybe the author is right.
