Military Monday bump!!
Hi Mayor.
Thanks for Military Tribute, Rus!
Hope you have had a good week...and summer!
Looking forward to August! ;D
Hi Feather!
Hi Luv!
Good evening! Hope you have a good week.
How is the petition to get rid of the tolls coming along?
Slow but moving forward.
Weather has been very summery here.
I guess it’s about time that it was summery, huh?
Hope you have plenty of work lined up. I am sure that you
are staying busy at one thing or the other, though.
When do you start campaigning?...or have you already?
I haven’t stopped. Work is a plenty right now, that on top of getting signatures to get on the ballot.
You are definitely a busy man!
Hope you all have a good summer! Enjoy...winter comes too
early there.

READ: Psalm 55:1-7,22
Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest. Psalm 55:6
A television commercial asks, What do you reach for when youre stressed? Then it suggests, Reach for [our product].
The number of ways people try to deal with serious stresses in life are as numerous as there are people. Having a drink. Blaming God. Stuffing ourselves with food. Keeping our feelings inside. Blaming others. These responses might calm us, but theyre just a temporary means of escaping our problems. No product we reach for can take them away.
In Psalm 55, King David described his desire to escape from his difficulties: My heart is severely pained within me . . . . Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest (vv.4,6). After the betrayal of his friend and counselor Ahithophel, who had gone to help his enemy, David wanted to get away (vv.12-13; see 2 Sam. 15). In this psalm he tells us that he reached out to God in his pain (vv.4-5,16).
What do we reach for? Author Susan Lenzkes suggests that we reach out to the Lord and pour out our heart to Him. She writes, Its all rightquestions, pain, and stabbing anger can be poured out to the Infinite One and He will not be damaged. . . . For we beat on His chest from within the circle of His arms.
Good morning, y'all.
Spent part of yesterday at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at a concert called Rock & Soul
World War 2 vet (and 5 bronze stars) Bill Pinkney (of the RRHF member the Drifters) was there with the Drifters & is in the middle of this pix. The gentleman to his Right is FReeper Wheelbarrow, also a WW2 vet & recipient of one bronze star. The other man is the show's promoter Chuck Conway.
Good morning, Conor! Good to see you.
Wonderful post...and good to be reminded of their dedication to keeping us safe!
Gotta go...work calls. *sigh*
