Atlanta-Hartsfield/Jackson Intl Airport has a USO group that really welcomes home the troops.
During a six hour wait for my flight, I watched these fine young Americans get a Welcome Home reception from all the travelers waiting in the central Atrium.
About every 30 minutes, another group of returning troops would be queue'd up from the USO waiting area and led out.
The leader would announce, "Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome home our troops who are returning home after service in Iraq". The waiting travelers would start clapping and cheering, whistles and shout-outs greeted the two-by column as they marched through.
It was hard not to get teary-eyed and the smiles of the young men and women appreciated the enthusiastic welcome home!
God Bless them all!

Awesome!! Thanks so much for posting this and I’m so glad our servicemembers got a welcome that they deserved. Thanks to the USO and all the other private citizens that greeted them.

the Anheuser-Busch ad honoring our military. Simple, elegant, inspired, and inspiring. Watch it here.
The ad says it all: Thank you.

I was there a couple of weeks ago.
The scene was fantastic.
A piper led a column of troops through the main lobby to the claps and cheers of hundreds of people.
Congratulations to all the troops for a job well done.

WOW ... thanks for the ping, Issaquahking.
It warms my heart to see our military getting thanks from their fellow Americans.
I wish I could be in Atlanta for a few days. I would probably want to spend a couple of days in the airport.
God Bless and protect our Military!!
