“This is why when your doctor hands you that stupid government mandated survey that asks if you have guns in the house, you always answer, “NO!””

What survey is that? I’ve never gotten one.

Pretty soon then the government will be able to choose for you and your fam what doctors you will use, and then they will dictate who can become doctors (control the whole medical teaching/training fields), then will abuse this power to persecute those with “hateful thoughts” such as Conservatives and Christians..

We’re dangerous doncha know..and we want to establish a theocratic NAZI state (Sarcasm for ANY troll that happens to read this..).

my wife recently had her annual phys - I was with her - when asked, we responded "none of the govts damned business - were here for a checkup not a census" - the Dr. left the box blank

Ok, I've watched it now.

I don't know who those two guys are, but assume it's from some TV show.
Are they supposed to be funny?

What part of the Second Amendment includes a doctor’s approval?

Ok, on the one hand this is a bunch of B.S., but on the other we just had my MIL deemed mentally unfit and had her committed. She didn't own a gun, but if she did we would have used this in a heartbeat to take it away from her, she was that unstable. My BIL went as far as to disable her car so she couldn't drive until we could finally get her the help she needed.

You did what you did as a Family. This wasn't a gooberment sponsored intrusion. Any responsible Family would do the same. The irresponsible amongst US bring US the Columbine's and the VTech's. I'd expect my Family to dis-arm me should I someday go flaky. Wait a minute, knock at the door... Blackbird.

Mine won’t. He’d be more likely on the list too.

But can states decide to “put people on the list”, without individual due process in a court, based on state law criteria which could include just a doctor’s recommendation that someone be put on the list?

These street racers are routinely making the public streets unsafe for anyone else, and frequently kill people, in addition to causing crashes that destroy the cars of responsible people who were trying to use the roads their taxes paid for. And I’m supposed to feel bad that these kids’ cars are getting confiscated and crushed?

The street racers whose cars are being confiscated have either been through a court proceeding or waived their right to one as part of a plea bargain or similar court-endorsed deal. No law enforcement authority is just running around confiscating and destroying cars without the owners having any legal recourse. But owners with a string of serious moving violations and other offenses rarely want to go to court to fight something like this, because they know they’ll lose.

Note to self: If ever depressed, DO NOT admit this to my doctor or go for counseling.
