My goodness that food sounds wonderful!

They must be doing a booming business! I hope
they stay since they have at least one dedicated
patron for sure, I think! LOL!

We went fishing this afternoon, caught a decent size walleye!

But the better story is that there was a soldier and his family there where we fishing and he was on a 2 week leave. We chatted some and established that he knew my husband when my husband worked at a convenience store in Springfield some years back! He is a member of the unit that suffered so many casualties when that bridge was blown up in Iraq last week. He’s the sole surviving member of his team because he was here and not there. I can’t remember the unit designation, sorry.

Anyhow before we left, both my husband and I told him “Thank You” and wished him good fortune for the rest of his tour. His name is John.

What a wonderful story! I just love when soldiers or members of their families come into my store so I can thank them. They always just beam and smile from ear to ear.

It always lifts my heart to be able to do it! I am sure it did yours, too.
