PLAINFIELD, N.H. — Randy Weaver, the symbol of everything the government hopes to avoid with convicted tax evaders Ed and Elaine Brown, offered advice to the fugitives and warnings to federal agents at the Browns’ fortified home on Monday.
Weaver’s wife and son and a deputy U.S. marshal were killed during the infamous Ruby Ridge shootout with federal agents in Idaho in 1992. He visited the Browns’ hilltop home to raise the specter of the botched federal raid and lend his celebrity to the tax evaders’ cause.
“We said, ’This is it, we’re not going to take it any more’ … This is serious stuff. Bring it on,” Weaver said during a news conference on the Browns’ front porch. “I ain’t afraid of dying no more. I’m curious about the afterlife. And I’m an atheist.”
During the sometimes hostile news conference that had Weaver and Ed Brown shouting insults at reporters, the speakers and their supporters repeated their claims that income taxes are voluntary, and any tax on labor amounts to slavery.
“The bottom line is: Show us the law, we will pay what you ask,” said Ed Brown, who had a gun tucked in his waistband. “They can’t do it, folks.”

Je ne givashit pas about your Free State Project. They were going to come here to NH and show us how it’s done. I had no problem with that. They were going to take over the town of Grafton (not far from Plainfield, incidentally) and make that a base for taking the rest of the state over. As far as I can see, they can’t even take over a tiny town of <1000 people. It doesn’t really sound like an idea whose time has come to me; does it to you? Doesn’t much really matter what I think of it.

Yeah, I think he’s an atheist who has doubts about his non belief. I watched the press conference, and Weaver kept quoting the bible. Perhaps he’s just angry at god.

shot in the dark here, but I think that is why many people are so frustrated (including whomever one believes is a loony), in this country "fair share" is not fair across the board. And lets face the facts, the Govt simply does not want to listen or act upon the will of the people anymore; at least the will of the tax burdened people.

Interestingly, our Founders also believed that one representative spoke for 20,000 citizens. We're now at 600,000 plus citizens per representative and counting, and with this amnesty deal, it'll go up to 650,000.
Maybe we should save the taxpayers some money and have just ONE representative, and we'll still be satisfying the "No Taxation WITHOUT Representation" requirement for the rubes...

I’ve never tried to shoot left-handed but I bet I could do it. Not sure I’d want hot 5.56mm casings hitting me in the face, though.
They have left handed casing deflectors you can place on the ejection port. Normally, I shoot right handed. The DMZ South Korea picture is just me, picking up my M16 for the picture before formation. The one in Egypt, is how I normally carried my rifle and in this case, the M-4.
These guys aren’t saying ‘no taxes period’ either. They want to see the LAW that says they must pay. Their specific gripe is with the tax code itself.
Personally, I wasn’t planning to move there. I liked the idea too, but reality doesn’t always cooperate.
No they don't. They have seen the law. They want to AVOID the law. That's why they try to hide the income. Why would you try to hide from something that doesn't exist?
I’d love to see tariffs enacted concurrently with abolition of Federal taxation- the way the unamended Constitution says it’s supposed to be done.
But there’s no bill in Congress for that.

I suppose we can sit here and debate what’s already been debated back and forth for years now. But again-
If we pass this bill, this is all a moot point anyway.
