Lindsay Graham says he is going to give wavering Republicans input that will make senators feel better," his goal is to bring more people aboard (not to secure the border). We need to fight and weed out of the swamp any self-serving senators who ignore the pleas of their constituents not to force this flawed immigration (Amnesty) bill on the country. Very disturbing that Trent Lott said “Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.” What veiled threat is that? Talk radio as it stands now consists of people exercising their rights to free speech. The hosts and callers are all speaking out on issues of the day, and they are fired up about a bill that gives amnesty to 12-20 million people who entered our country by breaking our laws. We are fighting for the future of our country. The only media forum we have is on talk radio and the blogs...not TV, not the liberal broadcast anchormen, women in mainstream media who shape the news. When people try to destroy this avenue of free speech, we have to fight for that right. When people attack our country, whether externally or internally repress those who stand for the rule of law, justice, opportunity, waiting in line...we have every right to speak out. Lindsay Graham isn’t a leader, but a back bencher taking orders from Bush and Ted Kennedy...poking people in the eye when you have a 6 year term is not courage at all. People of S.C. need to keep that in mind, as well as the people in PA keep Arlen Spectar in mind, and MS Trent Lott. They resent their constituents, and they do business in a thuggish way, threatening or deriding those who disagree with them...calling us “bigots, or “bad Americans” if we fight against this Amnesty bill that they pretend is the only way we can have a secure and safe America. These are dictatorial methods of control by those who sit in the seats of power. These are not leaders who respect those who voted them into the privileged positions they hold..

Deborah Burlingame, whose brother died on AA flight 77, said the staff of these legislators are being inundated with calls and feeling the pressure of citizens angry that they aren’t being heard. So get the phones ringing on Monday morning. We can win if we will keep up the pressure. You can find the numbers of the key senators at NUMBERS USA.com and send free faxes. DO IT Monday – we still have a voice in this.

This bill is not going to fix the border, those who have read it carefully – Deborah, Hugh Hewitt, Mark Levin, Shawn Hannity can point out many loopholes. There will never be a completed fence once the illegals are given citizenship (theoretically after 48 hours of a security check). INS hasn’t been successful finding millions of illegals in our country 6 years after 9-11, so how will they get the manpower and ability to find 13-20 million ‘hiding in the shadows’ now before giving them citizenship? It’s impossible and they know it! We’re being toyed with like errant school boys who get out of line.

...well they’re going to need someone to vote for them when the rest of us won’t - why not newly legalized citizens?

So this POS legislation proves beyond a shodow of a doubt that our government truly no longer serves by the consent of the governed.

According to the Founders, we now have the right to abolish said government.

You bring the guillotines, I'll bring the pikes!

“Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.”

I have seen this quote several times, and I think Lott is being misquoted. I think he said, “Talk radio is ruining America. We have to deal with that problem.”

Architects of a revived immigration compromise are directing an intense behind-the-scenes bargaining effort to round up enough votes among wavering Republicans to keep it alive.

The national Republican leadership is foolishly causing a lot of damage to the Republican party by so alienating its base. The Democrat leadership must be chortling at just foolishly the Republican leadership is acting.

Instead of building a strong campaign chest and energizing the base for next year's elections, the Republican leadership is needlessly weakening itself going into the 2008 elections.

It’s funny that the bill they wanted to ram through with no further debate was going to solve the problem, but now they have to add so-called border security to it. Gee, so the “gotta get it through quick” version wouldn’t have made us securer? You don’t say. Even if they mean it about the security part now (ha), it doesn’t erase the horror of the rest of the bill.

McCain petulantly said if we rejected this bill, to send up our own ideas. Here are mine. Let me know where I’m wrong and what needs to be added:

* End anchor babies now.
* Assess heavy penalties for business that hire illegals, knowingly or unknowingly. If it’s good enough for the IRS to penalize citizens for unknowingly forgetting to file properly. . . .
* If a previously penalized business is caught hiring illegals again, a heavier fine is assessed and criminal proceedings are begun against the responsible executives.
* If a person is found here illegally, they will not only be deported, but will *never* be allowed citizenship. Illegals are put on notice: if you ever want a shot at citizenship, leave now before we ever know you were here.
* No education, welfare, benefits for illegals
* Emergency care, strictly defined, will continue to be allowed for illegals. As soon as treatment is completed, they will be deported and their home country billed for the services.

Hold on to your wallets as your property taxes will be going up to provide new schools, jails, cops and teachers that will be needed for the current crop of illegals 'extended families. THen the states will need more prison beds for the 6-7% of them that will commit felonies and need be put in state prisons.

They keep telling us this is NOT an amnesty.....it seems they don't read the dictionary..if it looks, quacks and walks like a duck, it's a dirty, ugly pig of an amnesty bill.

am·nes·ty –noun 1. a general pardon for offenses, esp. political offenses, against a government, often granted before any trial or conviction.

2. Law. an act of forgiveness for past offenses, esp. to a class of persons as a whole.

3. a forgetting or overlooking of any past offense. –verb (used with object) 4. to grant amnesty to; pardon.

Hey, all you incredibly dumb and uninformed Americans, I’m Lindsey Graham. I’m a really, really, REALLY smart lawyer from South Carolina.

Because I am from South Carolina, some of you uninformed BIGOTS might call me a “cracker.”

Actually, that suits me just fine because that would make me a Graham Cracker. So if you don’t like my position on immigration (often bent over Ted Kennedy’s desk), you can

BITE ME!

Just look at those senators and congressmen who are for this. They are all rino/moderates. This includes Bush! What amazes me is how absolute idiotic they are acting thinking they can just diss their base on this issue and not be held accounbtable for it.

I'll tell you all this. If these prix pass this and Bush signs it into law WE better band together big time and vote every one of them out of office...MAKE IT OUR MISSION!

I'm just flummoxed at WHY they think they can just diss us and not pay a price? Was it the last election, do they really think the American people want this???

Please vote these moderates out they are ruining this country faster than any DBM/dems ever could!
