I didn't see anything posted on this live testimony. Who's watching it and what are your thoughts?

Let me get this straight. She could not identify her “attackers” even when shown pictures of them. She was unable to state what actually happened to her. She changed her story over and over again. But they “deserved” to be charged because she believed she was raped.

Is this Saudia Arabia or the us?

Nifong must feel certain he has a scapegoat for the DNA issue.

This case really bothers me. I’ve always been on the side of the prosecution, feeling most defense lawyers are nothing more then pond scum. However, I never supported a prosecutor who knowingly went after someone for their own political gain or when they knew, and the evidence bore out, a person was innocent.

Yeah, well I'm not. My uncle is an attorney, used to be a cop. So he's been on both sides of the line, as it were. Just from talking with him, it's abundantly clear to me that the average DA makes the average criminal defense attorney look like an Amish preacher. I would have an attorney at my house for dinner as long as he was polite, but I don't know that I'd even let a DA in my front door. Or on my lawn, for that matter.

The truth is that Nifong has done nothing that DAs everywhere don't do anyway. The difference is that he jumped on some people who had the resources to make him pay. If he had gone after poor white kids, they'd already be in prison with 20 year sentences.

As a result, I find it's a safe policy to generally assume that DAs are lying any time they're talking until they prove otherwise.

I did not know that the “victim” was unable to identify anyone from the photos she was shown.

IIRC, she identified one guy with a beard as a perp, then claimed he was one of the 3 final accused. None of the 3 accused wore a beard.

She was all over the map on making IDs. Initially, she was charging all the players as having assaulted her.

Yes. I’m not trained in this area, but I’ve researched and written about crimes. What Nifong is saying makes no sense given the initial story (or stories) told by Mangum. Maybe there would be no semen, but hardly “no DNA.”

Attorney on Fox just said Nifong’s not doing a good job explaining why he “framed” the boys with the way he handled the picture identification.

you forgot...and the media distorted the reports of the color of the alleged liquid, and in fact, I only showed pictures of liquid samples that came from me in order to assure there could be no confusion about the origin of the said liquid....

They found the DNA of at least ten men in and on her and they’ve only analyzed HALF of the sample.

Why isn’t Crystal being prosecuted?

The attorney on Fox also said Nifong could be facing multiple obstruction of justice charges and may be “lucky to stay out of an orange jumpsuit”.

I was aware of the results of the tests...but knew other tests were being done.

I hope they receive justice although nothing could ever really make up for what they went through.

Having Nifong tarred, feathered, and run out of town on a rail would be a good start.

In assult cases where a condom is used, you would be suprised at the amount of times semen is actually detected on the victim.
Usually it’s transfer marks from when the condom is removed or in most cases, since the attack is usually of a violent nature, the condom breaks, shifts or come off during the rape leaving behind an evidence trail.
