I guess it’s a good thing I don’t wear military-style pants too often, I might get a summons for wearing them soon!

I am actually glad. I am tired of seeing pants below the butt cheeks with boxers barely covering them up. I believe that it is best handled on a local level.

I agree, that the baggy pants that show under wear, are unsightly, but in all fairness I have seen girls and women wear tops that are just as revealing, and also pants, so where does the line get drawn...maybe in people just streaked, it would solve the clothing problem..

It will never stand the first legal challenge. Think of how stupid it would be to actually do jail time for baggy pants.

And to think that this all started by issuing one-size-fits-all pants to prisoners in the L.A. County jail years ago and then, after the “integration riots” between blacks and latinos the guards took away all the prisoners’ belts.

A few months ago, I went into a mom & pop grocery store in Erath (You know where that is if you lived in Delcambre). While I was at the counter a kid walked in with sagging pants and half of his a$$ showing. The elderly owner didn’t miss a beat. She said “Get out of here dressed like that. I don’t want to see the crack of your a$$. I’m calling your mother and don’t come back until you’re dressed.” Then she promptly got on the phone and called the mother.

You don’t deal with these wanna-be’s in baggy pants by passing laws and ordinaces - you do it by laughing hysterically at them like I do.

Want to know why Robert Bork wrote "Slouching to Gomorra," just read the comments on this thread. We have created a very course society for our children, and are beginning to reap what we have sown.
Common decency is not so common any more, replaced by, in your face like it or lump it. No civilized society has ever survived this kind of onslaught on its culture, and I don't hold out much hope for this one.
Being in my declining years, seems to be an actual blessing, that I could have never predicted.
