The FReeper Canteen Crew sadly announces the passing of Mr. Tonkin. (68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub).
If you would like to leave a message for his family, please direct them to amom.
Also, we ask that you send prayers to amom, his son Matthew, family, and friends.
We love you, Mr. Tonkin. Say 'hello' to Texas Cowboy for all of us.
You're missed and will never be forgotten.
We hope to make this an online memorial book for his family.
Details will be provided later regarding funeral services.

Well, darn. Just darn. *sigh* Darn.
I appreciate all the times he’d patiently answer my questions, no matter how many times I pinged him, whether he wanted it or not! ;-) And appreciate all the Canteen work he did. He was a good man.
Prayers for his family and FRiends and friends.
I’m glad he’s been released from his earthly bonds, and I hope he’s found the peace he so deserves.

He was a great patriot, who saw clearly what he needed to do for his country...and then simply went about doing it.
God grant that we will find many, many more such partiots, yea, by the tens of millions.
May a merciful God in Heaven, and loving Savior, rest his worthy soul, and may He comfort his family and loved ones, sure in the knowledge that the separation is but a temporary one, and that we shll all be reunited one day back in our true home.
We will miss you Tonk, Bravo Zulu my friend!

The posts Mr. Tonkin made to me were always encouraging toward my veteran husband. I really appreciated all his efforts to support veterans and his kindness to me. Thank you. A very special freeper has passed.
