Question: What you as CIC to bring our troops home safely.
Duncan Hunter: Son is in Afghanistan. What your brother did is worth it. We need to stand up the Iraqi army, that is how we will bring our troops home the right way.
Brownback : Is putting together another bill on tomorrow regarding Iraq along with the other bill (I believe is immigration) on tomorrow. Brownback is going to be plenty busy tomorrow. He'll either needs more or less meds.

Hunter hasn't said anything I disagree with, I'm just worriewd about his electability. He doesn't seem to be known around the office cooler as much.
Of course that may all change in 8 months.

Him getting out of his seat and talking to that sister of a fallen soldier is making me cry.
God bless John McCain for that. That was classy.

Is it just me, or is that poor woman gorgeous?
She was. But we're supposed to restrain our horndog tendencies toward grieving sisters.

Yeah I wish one of these Do Nothing Senators like Brownback or Biden would wander over to the Balkans and see what a mess they have made with their portioning of the former Yugoslavia.

Dear Mr. Romney,
I work in the petrochemical industry in a job that involves maintaining the integrity of piping and equipment. If I make a mistake in that work, the contents of the piping and equipment can escape with serious consequences. I've worked with old units. I've dealt with the question of whether an old unit is safe to continue running. If I allowed something to run when the piping or equipment was nothing more than "rust, held together by paint," I'd be putting my own life and the lives of my friends at risk. There are old refineries that need some work. There are occasionally companies who will allow an unsafe condition to continue, but in my plant, if we know of a line that's "rust, held together by paint," I can go to management, insist that the situation be fixed, and they will act to mitigate that risk. Do not ever again suggest that those of us who are responsible for the integrity and safety of our co-workers, our neighbors, and our manufacturing plants are allowing them to run as "rust, held together by paint."
Thank you,
Bill
