Hillary Clinton: Faith Saved My Marriage Tuesday, June 05, 2007

WASHINGTON — In a rare public discussion of her husband's infidelity, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton said Monday that she probably could not have gotten through her marital troubles without relying on her faith in God.

Clinton stood by her actions in the aftermath of former President Clinton's admission that he had an affair, including presumably her decision to stay in the marriage.

"I am very grateful that I had a grounding in faith that gave me the courage and the strength to do what I thought was right, regardless of what the world thought," Clinton said during a forum where the three leading Democratic presidential candidates talked about faith and values.

"I'm not sure I would have gotten through it without my faith," she said in response to a question about how she dealt with the infidelity.

The forum, sponsored by the liberal Sojourners/Call to Renewal evangelical organization, provided an uncommon glimpse into the most personal beliefs of Clinton and rivals John Edwards and Barack Obama. The three candidates were invited by Sojourners founder Jim Wallis; most of the other Democratic candidates appeared on CNN later Monday to discuss their faith.

The audacity of the woman never ceases to amaze me.

All I can do is repeat what I posted on another thread:

"Regardless of what a Klintoon says publicly about his/her values, please remember that they are first of all political pragmatists: do whatever it takes to buy one vote. Take for example, her maiden name, Rotten -- oops -- Rodham: it comes, it goes. And while we're at it, Slick Willy's name: William Jefferson .... How many dunderheads were drawn to him when he said he was named after Thomas Jefferson? (Remember how bored and disinterested he looked when he included a stop at Monticello during his first campaign?) He was born at a time when Arkansas was one of the most segregationist states in the South, where that name was given to honor Jefferson Davis."

If she suddenly pretends faith, it might sway as many as two voters.

This rates up there with Paris Hilton’s statement of “looking forward to a “new life” when she gets out of prison.

Media is really working overtime trying to keep their whores on pedastels these days. Who knew Anna Nicole Smith(fake name just like the rest of her) was just the beginning of a long list of Media’s idea of moral women?

Funny how “faith” became “important” to this bunch after the 2004 election.

If this bunch really were believers, then they wouldn’t be Democrats, they would’ve left a long time ago . . . plain and simple. They’re the worst form of hypocrites, manufacturing “faith” when it becomes politically expedient.

I take my faith very seriously and very personally," she said. "And I come from a tradition that is perhaps a little too suspicious of people who wear their faith on their sleeves."

For 8 years we saw her husband the impeached ex president cliton, and her, coming out of a church carrying a bible, while Monica was waiting one Easter Sunday...

Yeah, she takes her “faith” so personally that not even God knows about it. And no one will EVER be able to accuse Hillary of wearing her faith “on her sleeve.” No way, no how. Nope. Won’t happen here. It’s a BIIIIIIIG SECRET to EVERYBODY. Not even her roommate or daughter know about it, either.

I got to say right here - all of us having just read this post - and I am listening to Mrs. Clinton spewing this crap on Rush while I read and type - that WHOEVER we nominate for president this time, we ALL have to vote for him. This has to happen.

"The faith that saved Hillary’s marriage was the faith she would one day be president."

Precisely.

Herd instincts: Hillary's investment profits - ethics of Hillary Clinton's cattle futures investments

On October 11, 1978, the future First Lady, a neophyte investor with an annual income of $25,000, opened a commodity-futures account with a deposit of $1,000. Her first trade was the short sale of ten live-cattle contracts at a price of 57.55 cents a pound: a commitment to deliver in December of that year 400,000 pounds of cattle with a market value of $230,200. One day later, she bought the contracts back at a price of 56.10 cents, just 0.15 cent above the low of the day, pocketing $5,300 for a return of 530 per cent.

Mrs. Clinton continued to be a net winner at the game. By the time she closed her trading account ten months later, she had racked up $99,541 in profits, a spectacular 10,000 per cent return on her initial investment of $1,000. Either Mrs. Clinton was a better trader than the legendary George Soros, whose best-ever annual return in thirty years of trading was 122 per cent, or she was led by an invisible hand.

This "invisible hand"?? Could this be part of Billary's great faith??
