WOW. Thanks, txradioguy. What a terrific job Michelle did, under the pressure of the “foaming” idiot, Chris Matthews and his obscene cohorts. Chrissie REALLY is an @sshole.
MM may have been effective in the past, but I can’t remember much of anything she has done except marry the serpent and have babies lately.
The original city, called the French Quarter now, is not below sea level.
That fact also provides the source for hope that it can be stopped.
On the other hand in the year 2007 with terrorism what it is and knowing that we already have a possible zillion bad guys in the country now, I am not ready to compromise the security of the nation by agreeing to let most anyone walk across the border.
Additionally both sides have already proven that no matter what the congress and president sign in to law they may still screw us like they are doing with the border fence that was signed into Law but can't quite seem to get built.
So if I have to play hard ball on one issue and compromise on much of the rest let it be the security of the nation.

Dear tarheelswamprat,
You are free to believe as you will. I don’t like the immigration bill, but I will tell you that if it were 2000 again and I knew what would happen but couldn’t change or prevent anything, I would still vote for George W. Bush in 2000 and again in 2004.
I knew he was to the left of me. Virtually all R candidates are and forever will be. I can’t imagine someone actually doing away with cabinets and departments, can you?
But he has less compulsion or motivation to lie than any other President or candidate of which I am aware.
You don’t like where we are, I don’t either, but I disagree that I was misled. In reading your post, I see how angry you are, but I don’t find how you were misled.
I knew what he meant when he said he was a compassionate conservative, but he made the case for himself on taxes and affirmative action and later still on the War.
The coalition that Reagan put together is much more diverse than many realize.
Darn shame the Concorde is no longer flying... /grin
I think these are just trial balloons to see what flies. Another one is Ron Paul.
You dont like where we are, I dont either, but I disagree that I was misled. In reading your post, I see how angry you are, but I dont find how you were misled.
My post was not written in anger. It is a cold, detached analysis of what was actually said versus what has actually been done.
Let me repeat: we were not misled by President Bush's statements of his beliefs or desires - we were misled by his promises to obey and uphold the law. If you are unable to grasp the distinction, then I must simply wish you well.
So, anyone know what Kyle Petty had to say? He’s the only one worth listening to.
Sorry, I loaned my transporter to my nephew and he hasn't returned it. He was muttering something about mounting it on the flying bridge of his boat and using it to go after Blue Marlin...
