I read that donations are down to the RNC.

Do you know that some people are cheering about this? This will increase Republican majority in elections?

I notice that Bill Kristol, this morning, and Fred Barnes, yesterday, both of the Weekly Standard are drawing back from supporting this immigration bill. Suddenly they think it is too complex and the danger of conferring legal residency on gang members and terrorists almost immediately upon the presidents signature.

This Bush-McCain-Kennedy Bill is going down.

You are right and in a way we are all guilty of it. I am in my view of my current Conservative Party leader if he gets us power I am for him. Maybe thinking about it us on the right are more ruthless than those on the left.

I agree. I think mass deportation and the economic depression it would trigger would be wonderfully cathartic. But I don’t think the weak minded American public, as currently constituted, could handle it.

You think a economic depression would be cathartic ???

Wow

Exactly, they have underestimated just how pissed people are that they have ignored immigration law for years. Now they are getting the message loud and clear.

People (i.e. libs) accorded Martin Sheen ‘presidential’ status regarding his views during his stint on The West Wing. It was virtually a shadow government in their deluded circles. I have no doubt plenty of folks will view Fred as if he IS the character he portrayed on TV and will vote accordingly. The line between reality and fantasy has definitely become blurred and on many critical issues. Who was it who said if you tell a lie often enough, it becomes the truth? The Dems/libs operate on this principle all the time.

I watched what he said many time and for life of me it did not sound like a snarling attack, as I keep hearing people say. Yes, he was not happy and said so. But dang...perceptions are so whacked out sometimes.

You are overreacting.
There is nothing wrong with building a border fence to enforce the sanctity of our border.

You better bet I am cheering. I want these RINOS that run the GOP to know that this insanity the party leader is sponsoring will destroy the party and conservatism. I only wish they would call me again so I could emphasize this to them. Any republican that excuses massive violations of US Laws in the past and will encourage more violations of our laws in the future is not a republican.

I just heard him.

For once, I listened to the Power Player (I usually turn off the TV for this - it is pretty stupid). She was good!

Fred Thompson was a Senator lets not forget. Sure he is an actor but he is also a politician and a public servant.

EEEEEEVIL! How marvelous to "see" you" Big wet sloppy kiss!

The screaming from the base must be incredible in order for it to penetrate the concrete between Fred's ears...

I understand your point .. and maybe I’d be a little more sympathetic to the states if they would enforce laws and help deport illegals

How much money is being dished out for the the freebies like medicare, education and welfare??

I’m guessing they would save a heck of alot taxpayer dollars if the would only stop shielding the illegals

I had not taken into account the sanctuary cities. You are right about that of course. I’m in a city that is trying to fight this and is being undermined by the Federal policies.

There is a great blurring of the lines with this issue, and whether it is best handled Fed/State. Wouldn’t it be grand if they actually worked in harmony?

I’m just saying that it’s EXTREMELY difficult to stand up and be counted on the city level when the illegal thugs come after you. Our sweet/darlin mayor (female) has more cajones than I would have to fight this.

I saw her on re-election day standing on the corner where I enter the freeway, waving to the crowd, surrounded by her election signs. She was in the middle of a group of large men, and I read later she has to have body guards.

My heart goes out to her.

Exactly.
There is not a dam thing wrong with the people of this country demanding that the govt. secure an insecure border especially in light of the terrorism risks alone that we face in today’s world.

Laura Ingrahm got replaced here by a Mexican music station. How ironic. Actually, I would rather listen to the Meximusic than her harping.
