I agree.
actually— he is doing what the GOP wants him to do...that is placate the 80% of Americans that want our current laws enforced...help us feel like someon understands and is listening....then when we all trust him- and he doesn’t win the nomination— he will endorse the GOP guy....
bank on it...
“Stephy is interrupting him when Talibani talks about progress....and claims that the US is telling the positive stories (I call BS on Stephy).”
That’s because you can’t have the truth interfere with the propaganda.
Here’s the DBM Template:
Free Elections, end to tryanny, ratification of a Constitution et. al. = Bad News
Car Bombs in a market square, soldiers getting killed by I.E.D.’s al-Sadr chanting death to America safely froma Mosque in Iran = GOOD news.
Oh my gosh...thank you for saying that.
I think they and their big mouths have hurt this party more than anything Bush has done. He should know to do any shimmying up with fat teddy is a mistake, HOWEVER illegals are 1/3 what they were in 2000. Enforcing current laws would be enough of a start. But these big mouthed critics of Bush give him zero credit and go on and on about the great Ronald Reagan.
All this angry hateful fuss triggers the creation of very bad bills in attempt to “solve” these “urgent” problems.
First, the immigration issue has come up before but I don't believe it has ever been such a prominent or explosive issue during my lifetime as it is now.
Second, I didn't say they were going to change their political leanings over one issue. Maybe they will but I don't know if that is the case or not. The union hacks will always believe that the Dems are for them and the Republicans are for the rich. My lefty relatives are mostly socially very left and I think that is what a majority of them cast their vote on.
Lastly I was only saying that I don't believe that being anti-illegal immigrant puts any stigma on a person right now except from the elitists that think they know more than everybody else. That was my only point in replying to snuggs earlier post.
I swear I heard newt this morning actually blame Bush for the guy flying around with TB!!! Unfrickenbelievable.
Wow, no McCain, Hagel, Biden or Levin. Must be a hot issue that no one wants to be called on.
On the whole what I am referring to is the more high profile members of the Republican Party whereas on the whole the Dems stick together on air.
I didn’t really catch much of the discussion about Cindy, but I did hear enough to get the impression that the media thinks they really didn’t play a role in putting Cindy up on her pedestal....all they did was follow her and report on her. I call BS on that, the media made Cindy who she was for as long as she would bash Bush; but as soon as she started bashing dems, they abondoned her.
I wish for once we could see some honesty in today’s media. They need to own up to the fact that they ARE the propaganda arm of the DNC and they should stop trying to spin that they are NOT.
I love being straight to the point!!
The response I got from the person who took the call was along the lines, "It's basically gone now from here, but we would rather have to reactivate something like that rather than start from scratch if it makes a comeback."
And how often do you get an intelligent, thought out plan from any level of government? Little did I know back then how smart that was.
For sure!
Illegal immigration must be stopped or reduced to a trickle, but our legal immigration laws also need to be changed. Enforcement first, followed by comprehensive immigration reform.
I just wish they would enforce current laws.
When they say we cannot deport 12 - 20 million, what other laws do they allow us to break without punishment?
And I don't mean just the laws that have been/are being broken by dims - e.g. compare what is being done to Scooter and what was not done to berger.
I have to respectfully disagree. Wallace kept trying to get Newt to blame Bush, but Newt's main beef is with widespread government ineptness which has gone on for years and is just getting worse. The only beef I have with this Administration is that it let itself be pushed into more and bigger government which I think is the WRONG direction.
I bet he irrigated every plant(and human) on the set with that utterance.
