I have to disagree with this statement. I work with a lot of democratic union types and many of my relatives are left wingers but there is one thing they almost all agree on and that is illegal immigration. The dumb ones and the smart ones, the wealthy ones and the poor ones all are sick of seeing marches having some places in this country where Spanish is the only language and having the elitists tell them what is best for them

Then why do they keep voting for the Democrats

This isn't the first time the illegal immigrant issue has come up since the 80's

IIRC .. it was an issue during the 96 election also and yet they voted for a man who shot down the english only bill and pushed through a boat load of immigrants (againts FBI advice) to get their votes

Reliable Sources is talking about Fred.....and Howie just brings up the NYTimes (I think) story about the author said that the american people will hold Fred responsible for his positions on Law and Order. Too funny.

Their next subject is Cindy Sheehan and why did the media fall out of love with Cindy, in case anyone is interested.

There is no need to pass a bill to enforce the borders and laws on the books. NONE-

When they tell you that this bill is about enforcement first, it is a lie. When they tell us that there are “triggers” that need to be met- this is just a shadow language.

Very true, except for one thing.

As soon as any Republican Pres or Congress begins to crack down on illegals, you will see the liberal media destroy them.

There will be sob story, after sob story, horror story, after horror story, racism charges from here to eternity.

No way will ANY left wing citizen resist that, and no way will they be called racist.

Right now it’s perfectly comfortable for Dems/MSM and their voters to protest a little, because they MUST be contrary to the evil Bush.

Steponallofus just asked Talibani what his message is to the US, since most american’s think we are losing the war over there.

Talibani is a very gracious individual, he has said it before, and reiterates today his thanks for theUS in liberating Iraqi’s from Saddam. Stephy is interrupting him when Talibani talks about progress....and claims that the US is telling the positive stories (I call BS on Stephy).

Talibani also says they are working on achieving the benchmarks and that the sacrifice of our troops is not in vain.

Next up: the Murtha....time to switch channels.

Personally I am a sworn Republican.

I take it seriously.

When someone approaches me form a third party basis, since we have so many problems, my choice is to cave, go third party, or stay and try and change the current outcomes.
From what I have seen inside the party many feel the same way I do. Therefore I see hope for the future. I think we actually can change the rino/pro immigration trends and other problems.

It won’t happen tomorrow or the next day but can happen eventually.
But from my standpoint this is “my” party and if you try and destroy it, you have to go through “me” first.
