NEW YORK One of the daughters of a man among four accused in a terror plot to destroy John F. Kennedy International Airport and surrounding areas told FOX News Saturday that her father was "falsely arrested."
Abdul Kadir, a Muslim and former member of Parliament in Guyana, was arrested in Trinidad for attempting to secure money for "terrorist operations," according to a Guyanese police commander who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Kadir's wife, Isha, said that her husband was nabbed while boarding a flight to Venezuela, where he planned to pick up a travel visa to attend an Islamic religious conference in Iran. He had flown from Guyana to Trinidad on Thursday.
But Kadir's daughter said that her father had no knowledge or association to the plot that aimed to kill thousands of people and trigger an economic catastrophe by blowing up a jet fuel artery that runs through populous residential neighborhoods.
Kadir has no problems with America, would never do anything wrong and would never associate with a group like Al Qaeda, his daughter said.
"This is a total surprise," she said.
"We have no interest in blowing up anything in the U.S.," Isha said Saturday from the couple's home in Guyana. "We have relatives in the U.S."
Both were reacting after three men were arrested and one was being sought in Trinidad. In an indictment charging the four men, one of them is quoted as saying the foiled plot would "cause greater destruction than in the Sept. 11 attacks," destroying the airport, killing several thousand people and destroying parts of Queens, where the line runs underground.
The plot never got past the planning stages. It posed no immediate threat to air safety or the public, the FBI said Saturday.

“We have no interest in blowing up anything in the U.S.,” Isha said Saturday from the couple’s home in Guyana. “We have relatives in the U.S.”
But I’ll bet they don’t live in the vicinity of the planned attack!
Infidels, however......
You took the words right off my keyboard.
Hi syriacus — leave it to you to come up with all the intresting stuff!

Thanks, Sleeping Beauty.
At least it is different than, “He is a good boy.” That they usually say.
“He was a quiet man.” - Rodney Dangerfield

—These are the same Black Muslims, if you recall, overthrew the Trinidad and Tobago government in 1991.
Chavez is getting buddy buddy with the Muslims.
Another wrinkle in this story. Trinidad and Tobago is a MAJOR US oil exporter.
People in Trinidad and Tobago are scared.—

JFK Screeners Find Bomb Residue, Let Man Go Man Released After Positive Explosives Test At JFK Image
Scott Weinberger Reporting
(CBS) QUEENS A man’s sneakers tested positive for explosives at JFK airport. The sneakers were confiscated, but the man walked free. However, federal screeners didnt tell any member of law enforcement what happened for days.
The man used the name Gamal Badawi with U.S. immigration officials last Friday at JFK airport. At the time, authorities were unable to use the computerized system that takes a visitor’s fingerprints and checks it against various databases, including the terror watch list. As a result, Badawis documents checked out against the information locally available at JFK.
Federal sources told CBS 2 that Badawi passed through U.S. Customs and went into the airport to connect to a Delta flight to Iowa via Chicago. As he went through security, a Transportation Security Administration screener pulled Badawi out of the line.
Suspicious Sneakers
Badawi was wearing high-top sneakers that, CBS 2 was told, had tape around them and rubber-bands sticking out of them. The screener told Badawi to take off his sneakers. They were then checked for explosives, and airport sources told us that the reading for explosives was off the charts. “The highest ever,” one federal source explained.
Which is give the competent government of T&T some backup against these black muslims.
Unlike in all the other countries, Islam isn’t a majority and it probably will never be a majority religion in this country full of Catholics and Hindus.
info ping
another ping to this info
Islam doesn’t have to be a majority. Once it reaches 10% (as it has in Guyana) it becomes a threat. Once it reaches 15-20%, the entire country becomes Muslim.
Got the pings.
Thank you piasa.
If they try to control the country at 10%, they will learn a proverb my late Grenadian father told me:
Never underestimate the power of a pissed West Indian.
Well, that’s certainly a good proverb! Most of the West Indians I have met would probably bear it out, too. I hope we all get together and beat that 10% back, because essentially Muslims are cowards and rely on attacking peaceful, oblivious people - but they retreat if anybody fights back.
