The D.C. Chapter of FreeRepublic.com invites all FReepers and lurkers in good standing to join us this Monday morning as we freep the Republican party over their leadership's support of the amnesty bill and their failure to support securing our borders first.
We will also be announcing the results of the FR poll on support for the GOP if the amnesty bill passes into law.
When: 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2007
Where: Republican National Committee headquarters, 310 First St., SE, Washington, D.C.
Bring: American flags and signs calling for border security first and no amnesty for illegal aliens. D.C. Chapter made signs will be available for use.
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect. We reserve the right to refuse participation by anyone who refuses to abide by these rules.
I just faxed the Bush peso, with a very emphatic message attached, to the RNC HQ.
I also called my senators from Texas on the Soros-provided 800 number (800-417-7666). Both are against this bill and promise to vote accordingly.
“Be not weary in well doing” ... FReep On!
This morning I talked to a young man at the RNC....he was polite and gracious.
He assured me he was trying to find out when this vote will be taken.
I told him I would call back.
This afternoon...(**I JUST CALLED AGAIN**)....same young man, and he told me the bill would be reintroduced for debate this afternoon, probably around 3PM or so.
Right now he doesn't know when it will be voted on, but told me I could call 202 224-3121 to find out when they are scheduling the vote.
He also asked if I would give him my name and phone number.....and I did.
Thanks for the update- unfortunately I’m out of the loop til around 2:30ish..made my calls to Senators this morning:)
A live person answered my call..
..She said the bill will be voted on by Friday, at the latest, depending on amendments or changes.
C-span will carry it.
I have copied it and used it as a letterhead for why I will not be donating...
Thanks

Just a BTTT before the rescheduled vote:
To phone a senator (paid for by Soros!!): 1_800-417-7666
To phone the RNC (choose options 2, 3, 4 if told voicemail is full):
RNC phone: (202) 863-8500
RNC fax: (202) 863-8820
I'd pick lettuce for $50 an hour. Sheesh, that's more than I was making working in IT in NYC.
My 3rd call to RNC today plus fax.. this time option 3 (Communications).. told the young lady very disappointed in GOP Senate and mentioned the 1986 Simpson-Mazoli Amnesty bill that was supposed to fix the border problems but did not. Have no faith in this bill and will not support the $ RNC with donations anymore unless/until they fix borders first and foremost. Next we clean house with these bonehead RINO Senators... Time to stoke up the GOP Farm Team for new true conservative youngbloods.
We've got to stop this bill in its tracks!
There's no putting the genie back in the bottle if they pass this abomination!
4pm Indianapolis time. Trent Lott’s office didn’t want to talk to me and don’t care how I feel about the Amnesty Bill. Young woman answered the phone, frustrated with talking to another of the unwashed masses. Her end of the conversation was basically filled with, “uh, huh, okay, gotta go there is another line rining.” At the end, I responded, “I hope its a gazillion other people like me who are praying this bill doesn’t pass!.” Folks, I have a strong feeling if we are in fact able to stop this thing, it won’t be in the Senate, but in the House.
“We oughta have a bill on the floor of the United States Senate that deals with border security.”
— Sen. Dorgan (D-ND)
AMEN! Preach it!
And, “No” I don’t CARE that he’s a Dem; when you’re right about something, you’re right; party affiliation be damned.
Yes, he’s really making the case!!!!
Sen. Dorgan again making REAL border security the lynchpin in an immigration bill that he would vote for.
Now, who among the Republicans will articulate as much??
Sen. Kyl on now...
