Kennedy Airport Terror Plot Thwarted

NEW YORK -- According to NewsChannel4's Jonathan Dienst, sources said federal investigators have made arrests in an alleged terror plot on Kennedy Airport.

Law enforcement officials said the plot may involved a former airport worker.

A press conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. this afternoon.

Trinidad and Guyana has been experiencing very high levels of Pakistani immigration in the last ten years. There are areas of Trinidad where Christians cannot go because they are under sharia law. Al Queda has a presence there. My mother is from Trinidad and saying she’s happy she left back in the 60s! BTW, Al Bakr tried to take over the Red House and establish sharia in Trinidad as someone alluded to back in the 80s.

My guess is that a terrorist attack at one of the busiest airports in the country would lower prices. The loss of fuel would be trivial compared to the drop in use as airports shut down to implement new security measures and travelers decided to rethink their travel plans.

Reports coming in that one of the Guyanese is an imam. The terrorists have been identified as: Russell Defreitas, Abdul Nur, Kareem Ibrihim and Abdul Kadir.

The Associated Press is reporting that three people are arrested and one other is being sought in a plot to blow up John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Sources say the plot, which never got passed the planning stage, involved a plan to set off explosives in a jet fuel pipeline that feeds through the airport and runs through residential neighborhoods.

Law enforcement officials say that one of the men involved is a former airport worker from Guyana. Sources say the man was arrested last night.

Sources say he recruited an FBI informant to help plan the attack. He reportedly met with a radical group in Trinidad, where other arrests have been made in the case.

Sources also say the reason the arrests took place at this time was because the suspects had plans to travel.
