My guess is that a terrorist attack at one of the busiest airports in the country would lower prices. The loss of fuel would be trivial compared to the drop in use as airports shut down to implement new security measures and travelers decided to rethink their travel plans.

These terror dudes arent too bright. International travel would be affected most, not domestic.

Those inbound flights could be diverted to other airports until the pipeline was restored.
