Bashing is a strong word, and not even accurate. Calling President Bush, Trent Lott or Fred Barnes (I don’t know the Hewitt person) onto the carpet for their sellout of conservatives is certainly fair game. If they really feel that the immigration bill is popular with the base, they have not only misled, but the are also totally incompetent.
