More details on Flight 327 released (Terrorist dry-run)
The Washington Times ^ | May 27 | Audrey Hudson

Posted on 05/29/2007 10:00:43 AM PDT by PghBaldy

The inspector general for Homeland Security late Friday released new details of what federal air marshals say was a terrorist dry run aboard Northwest Airlines Flight 327 from Detroit to Los Angeles on June 29, 2004. Several portions of the report remain redacted. The release stems from a Freedom of Information request by The Washington Times in April 2006. The Times first reported on July 22 that this and other probes and dry runs were occurring on commercial flights since the September 11 terrorist attacks. Look for the full report in Wednesday's edition of The Times. Excerpts fom 51-page inspector general report: On the flight, 13 Middle Eastern men behaved in a suspicious manner that aroused the attention and concern of the flight attendants, passengers, air marshals and pilots.

Not because they are planning terrorism, but because it amuses them to scare Americans.

I am enormously curious as to what CAIR's take on this statement would be, as well as the corollary statement from me: it amuses me to scare muslims; all muslims, the overtly bad ones and all their enablers.

No apologies from me!

If that is the case, some rowdy old war horses like me will probably start putting our faces right in their faces and yell out loud, "ARE YOU A TERRORIST, IF YOU ARE...YOU'D BETTER JUMP OFF THIS PLANE RIGHT NOW OR I'LL KICK YOUR ASS"

I don't think they would like that kind of attention!!

I happened to look on snopes was trying to find out more info and checked Snopes and it said false. i told them they needed to change the status and this is response i received

Those persons who actually read the referenced DHS report for themselves
(rather than relying on slanted secondary sources) would have noted the
following statement contained within:

“Overall, a key element when considering the response to this incident
should be noted, which is that the 13 Syrian musicians were not terrorists
and that the law enforcement assessments made by the FAMS and FBI on June
29, 2004 were appropriate.

The decision not to contact the HSOC was decided only after the FAMS and
FBI
leadership jointly determined that the subjects could be cleared. The
reported suspicious activity was determined to be unfounded, and not a
terrorist threat ...”

I’m probably older and less tolerant than you. If someone starts doing their interpretation of the “Camel Dance” on a plane with me, they’re dead meat. I’ll discuss it with the authorities when we land.

I would encourage all domestic airline carriers to have an entire dozen or so sausages hanging from the exit doors in every compartment. Somehow I think this might solve alot of issues! Porky Pig could become the mascot for airlines as well~

Any person who makes a joke about bombs, hijacking and terrorism while going through airport security can be arrested.

Unless that person is a Muslim.

My daughter and I are flying to LA next month. She is boarding the plane in NYC and when the flight makes a stopover in Detroit, I am boarding the same plane.

Although we are traveling together, we have different seats on the aircraft because we booked our tickets separately.

Should I wear a headscarf on the plane?

This article is about documents WT received by FORCING the Bush Administration to release them, through FOIA. They couldn’t be posted anywhere yet, unless WT did so.

“My respect for ABC News is dropping by the hour. After doing some extra searching, I discovered that the virulently anti-nuclear Project for Government Oversight or POGO, didn’t just serve as a source for interviews on the “Loose Nukes” series, it was actually hired as a consultant.” http://neinuclearnotes.blogspot.com/2005/10/abc-news-gets-dirty-with-carnegie-and.html

POGO appears to be a rabidly left-wing org trying to find fraud in govt. Do they look at welfare? NO. They seem to only want to get Big Oil and the Pentagon.

I've been thinking that someone ought to market a line of porcine perfumes. Eau de bacon with maybe a flying pig logo. I bet it would be very popular at the airports. ;)

The airlines would be sued. However, there is nothing they could do if the majority of passengers all boarded carrying bags of pork rinds to eat as snacks.

This reminds me.
Thousands of flights were grounded on 9/11/2001.
I was of the opinion instantly that upon debarkation, all passengers should have been asked to eat a pork rind.
Those who refused would be photographed, fingerprinted and catalogued. How many "unsuccessful" killers of that day might have been caught?

I wonder how many future terrorists we might have nipped in the bud?

I don’t like pork rinds. Could I substitute bacon or sausage instead?

Another 9-11 like incident, and the libs will blame George Bush...

Who else would you blame for the keystone-cops-level of protecting our national security?
