You make yourself look childish and churlish when you refer to your President as el Presidente Jorge Bush not to mention disrespectful.

Thank you.......very well said.

Post of the day nomination. These Tiny Tent conservatives would rather destroy our leaders than attempt to change their minds. Just blast Bush and wash your hands.

Notice how they have no solutions to the problem and never have. Their answer is “enforce the law”. Good, take all of our police and ignore everything but shovelling sand back to Mexico. How much money we going to spend on that Mr conservative?

Then they want to close businesses, but not theirs; who probably have Mexicans mowing the lawns if not more. Do they boycot golf courses who have Mexican workers or fast food, house framing, lumber milling, etc??
Bunch of hypocrites.

One of many reasons I left the conservative movement.

Pray for W and Our Troops

Not only redundant, but rhetorical.

Many voters in Texas use their driver’s license instead of their voter ID card - which are so easy to lose/misplace. (I have no idea where mine is, for example.)

What would you do if you were “el Presedente”?

I would give the actual worker and not his parents, spouse, and children a "temporary worker visa" good for three years, renewable once, and then send him/her home.

I would make them pay U.S. taxes (just as you or I would pay Mexican taxes if working there), and perhaps an exclusion from SSI (and no future benefits).

I would allow them to register for this program in the US, and even do the renewal here.

Finally, ensure that the immigration status of parents trumps the "citizenship" of any anchor babies, in other words that when a parent's "temporary work visa" expires, they must leave the country, no exceptions. If they want to put the anchor baby up for adoption or other caretaking in the US, that's their decision.

This is the program sketched out by the White House more than a year ago. It does not provide for permanent residence or a "path toward citizenship."

President Bush said he would not provide amnesty, and would not insert any "path to citizenship" in his "temporary worker program". Yet he has lied, and given a verbal signoff to exactly that.

Has anyone else thought about the OTHER rammifications of the Immigration Bill?

Ok I mean we ALL know that the Democrats want to turn this country into the next Socialist Utopia...but us pesky NAVITVES...people that were born here...just arent smart enough (to the Dems) to see the light of their brilliance.

So they have to come up with a plan B...and their gaze moves south.

They see the illegals flooding across the border and the light begins to come on...these people are potential voters...if we can get them into the system...turning this country into a the next Communist State will be like taking candy from a baby.

How you ask?

Simple...these illegals come from counries that are Socialist/Marxist in nature...they are already used to and have accepted that style of government elsewhere...ergo...they will be more willing to accept things like Free Healthcare...wealth transfers like taking the oil profits from Exxon and transferring it to other Social programs...the Global warming bullsh*t...yeah they might resist the whole Abortion on demand thing...damn Catholics...but when we put a ban on all religous services in public...that will fix them.

The Democrats can’t convince people that were born in their own country to buy into this Socialist crap...so the Democrats are going to outsource votes to get what they want. And ty’ll do it with a group of imported voters all of whom are alredy ingrained with the style of government that the Dems want to foist on us...but haven’t been able to for the last 50 years.

It’s a spinoff of their old manuver of getting social issues like gay rights and abortion shoved down our throats via the court system because they KNOW they can’t get it passed through the normal procedures.

Make sense or am I just rambling?

I knew there were others that I could not remember at the time. What seems to be lost on the DBM and Chris Wallace is that everyone has a CHOICE about whether to run or not. Most conservatives have real jobs and do not take the time, or the pay cut to run. Many of the dims seem to be lawyers, who evidently do not have to work for a living. /s

...Pelosi. She believes it is harder for a woman to become Speaker than to be elected President.

Actually, I agree with that statement. That does not indicate a trend of agreement with Nancy Pelosi, btw.

We live in a country where people show ID all day long, especially when entering any government building. Surely a polling place should be given the same amount of respect, by scrutinizing all who enter for the purpose of deciding the future of the country. (And what a jobs program, the introduction uniformed guards at the entrance of every government building has been!)

On a related note about ID cards:
One argument against a National ID card is that a Free People should not have to prove who we are. That idealistic outlook just cannot be supported in our 21st century reality. We do not have villages where everyone recognizes a stranger as a stranger. We live in a world of instant electronic communication and where air travel moves thousands of people around the world every day.

It ‘s more than that. I don’t understand why McCain will go out of his way to accept Dick Durban’s non-apology for comparing our soldiers with nazis & join with Kerry in criticizing SBV. Why republicans on ethics committee gives clean chit to Harry Reid when dems were not that kind to Bill Frist? Same with feinstein on her ethics problems in allotting funds to her husbands firm. I can go on & on. MSM won’t report. But Republicans? Time for compulsory-retirement for some RINOS.

'I view the public policy issues of immigration and enttilement reform the two greatest threats to the future of our nation, more than the threat of militant Islamic fundamentalism.'

I agree that the first two are a major problem and concern, but the last will make us dead and relegate the first two to irrelevance.

Do you realize your solution is almost the exact same solution as the President’s last year. The only difference was the 3 year time period.

Unbelievable that you would be in a lather over the time period which you know would be impossible to enforce but not a bad idea.

His signoff now is the political landscape provided by the last immigration destruction of the Party when Do Nothing Nancy took over. Another reason I left the conservative movement.

No what I call you is a childish 100%er brat throwing a hysteric hissy fit because your personal opinion is not being implements 100% the second you decided you wanted it implemented.

Too bad for you petulant child. See ADULTS understand that NO one gets 100% of ONLY what THEY want. And unlike your usual hang outs, the Sunday thread is an adult thread. We think our politics, we do not just feel them as you do.

On Judges alone GW Bush has done far more good for the future of the Conservative movement then all you pseudo Conservative Democrat Party activists hanging out on this website finding new reasons to whine daily at their own side will EVER do.

Want to help the Conservatives? GET OFF OUR SIDE. You spend all your time actively campaigning FOR the Democrats. Why don’t you wander over and ask you heros in the Democrat party what THEY are going to being doing to advance your self proclaimed “principals”.

MYTH: Freepers are making ‘overly emotional accusation(s)’.

FACT: La Raza had veto power over a secret bill. That is caring ‘more about La Raza’.

FACT: The White has screwed America, alienated its base, but has consolidated the likelihood of its impeachment and conviction by Democrats.

Not fact.

Look, I despise the Immigration bill. I hope it's defeatd.

That said, La Raza does not have veto power over the "secret bill" and there is no Constitutional basis for impeachment of the President based on bad legislation.

Making sure that only people who are legally able to vote ought to have as much if not more scrutiny as security checks on those getting into the WH for official business.

It’s the destiny of this country that gets decided on election day...and that should be treated...and guarded like the national treasure I believe that it is.

As far as the whole national ID card thing...IMHO we already have it...open your wallet and check it out...it’s your Social Scurity card.

May I suggest that since you have left the conservative movement you proceed onto another website more to your liking. This website is for conservatives.
