And Perot got us 8 years of the toons. That worked real well, didn’t it? (for those who say they will vote third party)
I was a Perot victim - I was one of those who worked hard for Perot.
I have said many many time inside FR - NEVER AGAIN NEVER EVER EVER.
I am a member and team player for the GOP for the rest of my life.
Nominate McCain - and I will cry my way into the voting booth and pull his lever.
Oh god - I’m going for a walk.
Security needs to be 100%.
And you a beautiful pics of VP Cheney on your FRweb site.
Thank you for sharing them.
There could probably be some really good programs on the new book of Reagan’s diaries but MTP is not going to be one of the.
Even with Ed Meese and Mike Deaver on board...although they are doing their best.
My hope is there is enough that the dems will object to as well..
I think the senate doesn’t understand the mood in the country.
This bill is not just opposed by people normally associated with extremes. In my little neighborhood we have a distinct cross-section of Americans- a “redneck” single man in his 40’s..a long-term-relationship lesbian couple, a family from Puerto Rico, a local liberal activist, a lovely woman from Serbia (going through all the LEGAL motions) and assorted others. We talk, we have cookouts, watch each other’s dogs and kids. EVERY single one of them is angry and worried about this- and does not want this bill passed.
These are not rabid, right-wing ideologues..they are ordinary Americans..and at least one who is hoping to become one.
The contrast with her and Lynne Cheney who has also held positions on top corporate boards does not even bear thinking about the former is not fit to do the others shoe laces up.
Timmy keeps trying to focus in whatever bad he can find about Reagan...trouble with the children, a bad performance in a debate, his visit to Bitburg.
But the rest of them are so genuinely fond of him, and he was obviously such a great human being, that it is not working. The man that Reagan was comes through despite Timmy’s efforts.
Timmy is astounded that Reagan didn’t like the press.
And what have the democrats earned?
The corollary to what you’re saying is the dems get to rule for 40 years. Something the DBM strongly desires and supports. So, in essence, when you rely on the words of the DBM to paint the political climate and happenings of the day, you’re falling for the propaganda of the democrat public relations empire, the driveby media.
I’d say that punishing Republicans, instead of supporting the most conservative of them in the primaries, but sticking with the overall winner come fall, is the only way to stop the relentless onslaught of the Left.
Oh, well, as Forrest Gump said, “Stupid is as stupid does”.
I agree with your point.
If we focus like a laser on the important points of this issue, it will go a long way toward getting the results that are better for all Americans.
What are those important points? Immigration legislation in its final form must provide for the following:
improved border security and enforcement;
immediate detention and deportation of those crossing our borders illegally;
deportation of any illegal alien convicted of a serious crime;
a temporary-worker program (with reliable documentation a prerequisite) to meet the current demand for unskilled labor;
CRIPPLING penalties against employers who hire illegal aliens;
no extension of amnesty and fast-track citizenship (new applicants to the back of the line);
preservation of our tax-subsidized medical, educational and social services for American citizens and immigrants here legally—NO EXCEPTIONS;
Americanization of new legal immigrants (hence preserving American culture);
and the removal of birthright citizenship for children of illegal aliens.
By removing the benefits we are extending to ILLEGAL immigrants, we can—by attrition—begin to turn the tide on this issue.
I think Timmy is trying to imply that Reagan was in early stage dementia at the end of his presidency.
Unbelievable.
Here in Texas, the dims in the state house are working to kill a voter ID bill. I wonder why?
