Timmy keeps trying to focus in whatever bad he can find about Reagan...trouble with the children, a bad performance in a debate, his visit to Bitburg.
But the rest of them are so genuinely fond of him, and he was obviously such a great human being, that it is not working. The man that Reagan was comes through despite Timmy’s efforts.
Timmy is astounded that Reagan didn’t like the press.
Thanks Bahbah, this gives me the opportunity to repost my favoriet Krondrake quote.
Morton Kondracke, Roll Call magazine, 1994:
“Liberals obviously didn’t intend for the abandonment of traditional values to lead to an aids epidemic, rampant teen-age pregnancy, the destruction of two-parent families, an explosion of child abuse and child poverty, increasing coarseness in popular culture and horrific street violence. But it has.”
